“On the Holmes Front, with Frank Holmes”
The internet has been a blessing for people who want to find out the truth. Websites like The Horn News bring you the facts that you want – even the stuff that the liberal media don’t want you to hear.
But the free-flow of information is a thorn in the side of radicals and global elites, who hope to keep operating in the shadows.
Now liberal billionaire George Soros wants the U.S. government – and governments around the world – to censor the news you can read, share, and talk about on social media. Essentially, he wants to destroy the protections offered by the First Amendment.
He has hired a team of Democratic Party hacks and elitist intellectuals to lobby sites like Facebook and Twitter to ban so-called “fake news.” He even wants the most shadowy parts of the Deep State to control which stories show up in your internet searches.
Of course, you know the game. “Fake news” is any news that serves you instead of the New York-D.C.-Hollywood elites’ agenda.
Facebook and Twitter let you share the facts, unfiltered by the media.
Soros says this is a “menace.”
He told the gathering of globalist elites at Davos earlier this year that governments should regulate social media outlets – the First Amendment be damned.
“They claim they are merely distributing information,” Soros said. “But the fact that they are near-monopoly distributors makes them public utilities and should subject them to more stringent regulations.”
Public utilities? Soros thinks politicians should be writing rules for Facebook and Twitter the way they do for the gas and electric company.
In fact, in some states, public utilities are publicly owned. The government controls everything about them.
Of all people, George Soros isn’t naïve. He knows exactly what is at stake in this fight.
Out of one side of his mouth, he says that if the government controls social media, it will create “a web of totalitarian control, the likes of which not even Aldous Huxley or George Orwell could have imagined.”
Out of the other, he says politicians have to control social media to make sure it stays “fair and open.”
If you wondered why Democrats keep pushing the whacky narrative that the Russians influenced the election by planting “fake news” stories on Facebook, now you know.
It’s the fake news story they need you to believe in order to seize control of the internet and stop you from sharing the truth.
That’s why, even though the investigations have shown there was no “collusion,” Democrats keep propping up the phony Russian narrative.
And the Soros-paid trolls have been out in force this week.
Hillary Clinton complained about social media… on Twitter.
We should all care about how social media platforms play a part in our democratic process. Because unless it’s addressed it will happen again. The midterms are in 8 months. We owe it to our democracy to get this right, and fast. https://t.co/aM3pRrZW4J

Sometimes Soros brings in “independent experts” for cover. Fred Wertheimer played that role this week, even though he’s head of the Soros-funded think tank Democracy 21.
He demanded the heads of Facebook, Google, and Twitter “take immediate, effective corrective measures” to censor so-called fake news “and to treat this matter as their highest priority.”
He suggested they let the Deep State and Soros-funded intellectuals decide what you get to see on your Facebook wall, Twitter feed, and Google searches.
He said in his Politico article that Google should rely on “national security professionals… and independent researchers to identify potential vulnerabilities in new and emerging technologies.”
He wants government employees like Peter Strzok and Lisa Page – and “independent researchers” paid by George Soros – to police what news items pop up when you try to find news stories.
If you’re looking for information they don’t want you to see, it just disappears from the internet – gone, vanished, like in 1984.
“Unfortunately,” Wertheimer wrote, these CEOs have not yet “fully recognized this responsibility or understood the duty they have to the American people.”
But Twitter and Facebook have taken action – and the first victim is the president.
Engagement on Donald Trump’s Facebook posts fell almost by half – a whopping 45 percent – since Facebook changed its algorithm in January, according to Breitbart News.
When the president’s approval rating is climbing, do you really think fewer people are following him? Do you honestly believe fewer people are trying to contact him now that he’s president?
The Horn is dedicated to bringing you the truth – the news the political establishment never wants you to see.
