“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
A new Gallup poll this week showed that Joe Biden had a new, historically low approval rating of 39.8 percent, or about four out of 10 people.
Did you ever read these polls and wonder who on Earth those four people are?
A new report tells us what Biden’s well-to-do supporters think about you, about America, about freedom—and it paints an ugly picture.
The great American writer F. Scott Fitzgerald once wrote, “Let me tell you about the very rich. They are different from you and me.”
The same holds true for Biden’s supporters, according to a comprehensive new report from The Committee to Unleash Prosperity.
They’re richer, more urban, and way, way more liberal than the rest of us.
“The survey is a first-of-its-kind look at the views of the American Elite – defined as people having at least one post-graduate degree, earning at least $150,000 annually, and living in high-population density areas (more than 10,000 people per square mile in their zip code),” says the report, titled “Them vs. Us.”
The elite Biden supporter thinks the economy is just fine, believes there is too much freedom in the United States, is sure you can trust big government to do the right thing—and loves Joe Biden.
The results show an American “elite” totally disconnected, disengaged, and condescending toward most of the country.
The Rasmussen pollsters conducted the survey last September…and what they found is shocking.
Biden’s approval among the so-called elite is double what it is among normal Americans: 84 percent of them approve of the job Joe Biden is doing as president.
Historic inflation? Record-breaking illegal border crossings? Fascist speeches in Philadelphia, cocaine in the White House, and fentanyl in every community in America?
They can’t get enough.
Military humiliations, rambling press conferences, and arresting every one of his political enemies—from the former president of the United States down to small-town Catholic pro-life activists with seven kids?
Bravo, Mr. Biden.
One of the reasons comes down to one of the biggest differences between them and us: 73 percent of the “elites” are Democrats, while only 14 percent are Republican.
But political differences don’t explain everything. “This is true even when the Elites self-identify as Republicans. They typically may be more conservative than Elite Democrats but they still have attitudes and opinions that are far removed from those of the typical American voter.”
What are those out-of-touch opinions?
Even though most Americans have to earn $11,434 a year more to have the same standard of living they had in 2021, 74 percent of elites say they are “financially better off today than in the past.” Only 20 percent of all Americans believe that.
Only 16 percent of Americans say America has too much freedom—but 55 percent of Ivy League graduates agree.
77 percent of “elites” support “the strict rationing of gas, meat, and energy” to fight “climate change,” as opposed to 28 percent of normal Americans.
Somewhere between half and three-quarters of the wealthy liberals want the government to ban “gas stoves, gas-powered cars, air conditioning, SUVs, and non-essential air travel.”
While Americans have seen the government close their businesses, shut their kids out of school, and lock up its opponents, Biden’s supporters think the feds can do no wrong.
70 percent of the “elites” trust the government “to do the right thing most of
the time.”
It’s even worse when it comes to school: Two-thirds of these wealthy liberals say teachers—not parents—should decide what children learn.
CRT, DEI, Woke ideology? Parents say no, but teachers unions and the “elite” say yes.
“Ivy League graduates are detached from reality when it comes to freedom, and one poll tells you everything you need to know,” said OutKick.com.

“It’s looking more and more like an ‘us vs. them’ nation,” said one commentator. “They don’t think highly of us. They couldn’t possibly care less about our struggles.”
“They live in an entirely different world than we do.”
Their message to us boils down to one sentence: “Stay in your place, peasants.”
“There truly are two different Americas right now,” he said. “And folks, we aren’t in the ‘fortunate’ America.”

One expert on Woke ideology, the Heritage Foundation’s Mike Gonzalez, said elites wall themselves in by listening to the Fake News media, especially taxpayer-funded NPR.
Our elites “live in a bubble of their own construction,” says a recent report by the Committee to Unleash Prosperity. “They’ve isolated themselves from everyday America’s realities."
NPR has helped build that bubble; taxpayers shouldn’t have to fund it. https://t.co/vtEA0gHqKa— Mike Gonzalez (@Gundisalvus) January 25, 2024
The wealthy liberals have built a world where rich liberals scratch each other’s backs and make sure there are no consequences for their actions…you pay the price for those.
When you suffer, they don’t care—they don’t even notice.
Maybe the reason Biden thinks he’s doing fine is because he doesn’t know anyone who makes less than $150,000 a year.
He’s out of touch. We’re out of patience. It’s time for him and the entire corrupt, elite establishment to go.
If you want to keep your finger on the beating pulse of the nation, tune out NPR and keep reading The Horn.
