A new shocking news video out of Philadelphia claiming that non-citizens are voting in the city’s 2024 elections has emerged amid reports of controversial plan by the James O’Keefe Media Group to monitor the election.
The group released footage of a conversation with an individual identified as Milton Jamerson, reportedly an Election and Voter Registration Clerk at the Philadelphia City Commissioners Office, discussing voting eligibility requirements.
The video also references claims by Ceiba, a local NGO, regarding voting rights for holders of Individual Taxpayer Identification Numbers (ITINs).
The claims come after The New York Times report that James O’Keefe has organized nearly 70 individuals to secretly film voting procedures on Election Day, according to documents provided by former staff member Kayla Dones, who resigned over legal concerns.
“Why on earth would I have arranged all this if I were secretly planning a criminal enterprise?” O’Keefe wrote on social media, describing the project as “fully legal” while promising “an avalanche of these recordings.”
Many states prohibit filming at election sites and have laws protecting voter privacy. ITINs, which are nine-digit identifiers issued by the IRS to tax-paying non-citizens, do not provide any form of legal voting rights or U.S. citizenship.
The Philadelphia City Commissioners Office denied O’Keefe’s report on Tuesday.
“This report is incorrect and not supported at all by the facts,” City Commissioner Seth Bluestein wrote on X. “Non-citizens are not eligible to vote in Philadelphia. A mail ballot provided by our office can only be counted after the voter verifies their ID, typically with a social security number or driver’s license number.”
