Pennsylvania State Sen. Mike Folmer, R-Lebanon, resigned from office Wednesday after being arrested on child pornography charges.
Using the social media website, Tumblr, Folmer uploaded at least one image of a young girl involved in a sex act, according to NPR reporting.
Tumblr officials became aware of the image and alerted the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and authorities arrested Folmer.
Prosecutors charge that he uploaded the image himself tot he website in 2017.
