CNN, the network President Donald Trump has repeatedly labeled as “very fake news,” has proven it’s conservative critics right once again.
The controversial media giant published a story Thursday with the headline, “Sources: Sean Hannity once pulled a gun on Juan Williams.”
But there’s one major problem with this story: Both parties involved, Williams and Hannity, totally deny the claim!
Once again, this is just more dishonest spin from the liberal media.
Sean Hannity says he “never pointed” a gun at Fox News colleague Juan Williams, and flatly denied CNN report.
Hannity told The New York Daily News that he had been discussing guns and “showed my good friend Juan Williams my unloaded firearm in a professional and safe manner for educational purposes only.”
Williams said on Twitter that he and Hannity are “great friends” and the “incident is being sensationalized.” He says “everything was under total control throughout and I never felt like I was put in harm’s way.”
Fox News tells the Daily News “no one was put in any danger.”
But despite all parties involved denying any actual threat, CNN STILL ran the story.
“Hannity pulled out a gun and pointed it directly at Williams, according to three sources with knowledge of the incident,” The dishonest CNN article claims. “He even turned on the laser sight, causing a red dot to bob around on Williams’ body.”
What’s the truth?
CNN is completely exaggerating a version of the story anonymous sources, rather than take the word of the two men who were actually there.
Buried deep into the story are the true comments from Hannity and Williams, but readers are first subjected to slandering comments about Hannity and his repeating habit of calling his critics, “jackasses.”
Byers then introduces the Hannity-Williams incident with the line, “Hannity’s version of entertainment can go too far,” clearly implying he is at fault in the incident.
Byers took to Twitter to defend his rumors:
I stand by my reporting, Juan. Every word. 110%. https://t.co/vvYMdWCs4E https://t.co/Um7dZfIqnq
— Dylan Byers (@DylanByers) March 17, 2017
How can he stand by his reporting when man he labeled as the victim denies any wrongdoing?
Byers also had multiple exchanges with Hannity on Twitter.
When Hannity tweeted:
https://twitter.com/seanhannity/status/842567537070096384
Byers responded, “I stand by my reporting Sean.” And then responded the exact same, thing when Hannity tweeted back:
https://twitter.com/seanhannity/status/842572280282697728
Leave it to anti-gun, Second Amendment-attacking, liberal CNN to jump to intense conclusions when one proud gun owner wants to show off his new piece to a friend.
Is there any mainstream media source that can be trusted these days?
