The sight of “Morning Joe” hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski making the pilgrimage to Mar-a-Lago to meet with President-elect Donald Trump caused one longtime Hollywood to have a “total meltdown.”
In the wake of Donald Trump’s election victory, liberal celebrities are freaking out — and some are fleeing the country.
Few are handling it as poorly as Rosie O’Donnell. The “Morning Joe” stars meeting with the president-elect, after years of fierce criticism, was “despicable” she said on social media.
O’Donnell vowed to boycott their show over their betrayal.

Scarborough defended the meeting and said he received supportive calls from around the world. He said critics like O’Donnell were disconnected from reality.
“Yesterday I saw for the first time what a massive disconnect there was between social media and the real world because we were flooded with phone calls from people all day, literally around the world, all very positive, very supportive,” he said.
Indeed, Trump’s massive election victory has forced a reckoning within mainstream media. His longtime, fiercest critics must now decide whether to adapt to the new political reality — or further alienate voters and viewers.
