Hollywood liberal Rosie O’Donnell, a longtime rival of President Donald Trump, appears to have fled the United States and moved abroad based on recent social media posts that show her driving on the “wrong side of the road.”
On Friday, March 7, the 62-year-old recently posted a selfie on her Instagram account with a caption about driving on the “wrong side of the road.”
“Bought a little used car to tool around the countryside on the wrong side of the road,” the former “View” co-host wrote. “Hit the curb three times – thought I hit a cat !!! #newadventures.”
In another post, O’Donnell shared a photo of her 12-year-old daughter Dakota in the backseat with a backpack beside her that showed she’d planned to stay permanently. The caption said O’Donnell “can’t wait to walk to school” with her daughter.
The evidence strongly suggests O’Donnell has moved to Ireland. On her TikTok account, she posted photos showing herself, Dakota, and their black Labrador service dog next to a street sign written in both Irish (“Bóthar Naomh Mhuire”) and English (“St. Mary’s Road”).
In another TikTok post, O’Donnell included pictures of pro-Palestinian murals that include references to Ireland, as well. The comedian has Irish ancestry on both her mother’s and father’s sides.
O’Donnell had previously promised to leave the United States if Donald Trump won the 2016 election. Responding to a comment on TikTok in 2023 about her promise, she denied it. “[N]ever said it – try n find a video of me saying it,” she claimed.
O’Donnell would not be the first Hollywood liberal to relocate overseas recently. Ellen DeGeneres and her wife Portia de Rossi moved from Montecito, California to the English countryside in December after finding a home they “loved,” according to sources.
DeGeneres later confirmed the move in social media posts, writing that she was “looking forward to our first snowy Christmas” and referencing their “UK farmhouse.”
