Former President Donald Trump’s feud with Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-Fla., exploded over the weekend.
Throughout the weekend, Trump attacked the Florida governor. On Friday, he fired shots at DeSantis at a Lincoln Reagan fundraising dinner in Lee County, Florida, and then repeated vicious attacks on social media on Sunday.
“In Florida, I got 1.2 million more votes than your successful governor’s campaign,” Trump said at the dinner. “You know that? We got 1.2 million.”

The 45th president then mocked DeSantis for asking for Trump’s endorsement in 2018.
“Sir I’d love to have your support, sir. I’d love to have your support. I’m down at about three. I’d love to have your support,” Trump said in an altered voice before answering in his own. “All right, let’s think about it.”
“Then it was like a rocket ship after I gave” the endorsement, Trump claimed. “Otherwise, right now, you’d have a lawyer someplace looking for business… if that!”
Trump also attacked the Florida governor’s personality and poll numbers on Truth Social on Sunday, writing —
The Globalist, China hawking and RINO infiltrated Club For No Growth, which now wants to give up backing Ron DeSanctimonious because they realize there is no personality or people skills there, are beside themselves, and just don’t know what to do. Florida has the Sun & the Ocean, and was GREAT long before I put Ron there. The semi-elite “No Growthers” are considering sending Ron to the great Walter Reed Medical Center for an emergency personality transplant. His poll numbers are crashing!
Although DeSantis’ office has officially remained quiet leading into an expected 2024 Republican primary announcement later this year, a Super PAC associated with the Republican leader launched their own counter-attack on Trump.

The Never Back Down PAC offered to help Trump move out of Florida and said they’d help him relocate to California if he was unhappy with the Sunshine State.
“Donald Trump has so deeply disparaged the state of Florida by calling it the ‘worst state,’ we at Never Back Down will help him leave by offering financial assistance to help him move to his beloved California, so he can be close to his good buddy Gavin Newsom, whom he loves so intensely and gets along with so well,” Chris Jankowski, head of the DeSantis-aligned PAC, wrote Saturday.
“The good news is that since so many people are moving to the state of Florida, thanks to the incredible success of Governor Ron DeSantis, no one will notice when Trump leaves,” Jankowski wrote.
“The state of Florida will be better off when Trump takes his Soros-fueled, dumpster fire of a campaign to San Francisco, where it will fit right in.”
The PAC also released a scathing video showing Trump praising the job DeSantis has done for the last five years.
