Gov. Ron DeSantis, R-F.L., has grabbed headlines following his Iowa trip that’s a preview of his long anticipated 2024 Republican presidential campaign — and liberals are foaming at the mouth over his recent moves.
In fact, NBC News’ Chuck Todd had such a negative reaction he became unglued on live television Sunday over the new “Victims of Communism Day” that DeSantis recently signed into law.
“We’re also the first state in the country to establish every November 10th, the day in our schools is earmarked, to teach our students at all grade levels about the evils of Communist regimes throughout history,” DeSantis said about the bill during a recent stop in Las Vegas, Nevada.

“We’re going to tell the truth about Marxism and Leninism,” he said.
That didn’t sit well with Todd.
“I went to Florida public schools,” Todd declared, “We were taught this, it was called history. It just seems like a weird politicizing, you know.”
“He’s going out of his way to politicize something,” Todd complained.

DeSantis also unveiled a new Iowa ad based on his trip to the critical 2024 Republican presidential primary state — and it included a big hint about the conservative governor’s plan for the future.
“THANK YOU, IOWA!” the ad said. “Together, Iowa and Florida are leading the way for a freer and safer nation…”
“And we’re just getting started,” the ad read.
