Roger Stone: White House leaker’s initials are…

Roger Stone, longtime confidant and friend of President Donald Trump, claims he knows who leaked the emails from Donald Trump Jr. to The New York Times, and is giving one hint to the mysterious identity.

“Their initials are J.K.,” Stone told a Democratic opposition research group when repeatedly pressed in an interview.

There has been constant speculation as to who is leaking information from within the Trump White House, with Republicans warning these leaks are a serious threat to national security.

When Stone was attending an event for the Capitol Hill Club for Young Republicans, the opposition group American Bridge asked him, “Do you think it was someone in the White House, in the Republican Party, who leaked Don Jr.’s emails to The New York Times?” Independent Journal Review reported.

The Times had been planning to run a story on the contents of the emails, but they were beat to the punch by a calm Trump Jr. who tweeted out the emails claiming he had nothing to hide.

Stone acknowledged that he knew who the leaker was, but couldn’t reveal it fully, providing only that one hint: J.K.

IJ Review noted that there are only three members within Trump’s administration with those initials:

  • Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly
  • Deputy Assistant to the President Jeremy Katz
  • Trump’s son-in-law and senior adviser Jared Kushner.

While Stone attempted to be coy with his initial reveal, many believe he is referring to Kushner, who Stone accused in the past of leaking information.

In April, Stone claimed Kushner was intentionally leaking information to MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough in order to sabotage White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon.

Kushner was also in attendance at Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with Russian lawyer Natalia Veselnitskaya, leading to further speculation that he is the one Stone is referencing.

Trump Jr. has been open and transparent about the meeting and claims there was no important information revealed by Veselnitskaya.
