Since he left office, former President Bill Clinton and wife Hillary Clinton have been raking it in. The two have made approximately $240 million from lucrative book deals, Wall Street speaking fees, and consulting work.
But that’s simply not enough for the Clintons. Not even close.
Hillary has announced a new cash-grab book deal that will pocket her millions — and she’s being paid for nasty comments on President Donald Trump.
According to reports, Hillary is working on a book of essays about her 2017 election loss that will come out this fall, Simon & Schuster told The Associated Press on Wednesday. The publisher said Hillary will use the quotes to tell stories “up to and including her experiences in the 2016 presidential campaign” and into her thoughts on the future, including Trump’s presidency.
The deal is expected make her millions. According to Forbes, Bill’s bestselling memoir My Life pocketed the Clintons approximately $34 million in royalties.
With that huge stack of cash on the line, is there any surprise Hillary is willing to throw the president under the bus?
Hillary will also resume her lucrative relationship with the Harry Walker Agency, the speakers bureau she worked with after she stepped down in 2013 as secretary of state. Combined, the Clintons made over $100 million from speaking fees alone since Bill left office.
These speeches, notably Hillary’s talks sponsored by Goldman Sachs, were heavily criticized by primary opponent Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont and others as a sign that she was too close to the financial industry.
Now that criticism has died down, it seems she’s heading straight back into their pockets.
Wednesday’s announcements mark a growing re-emergence for Hillary, who unsuccessfully ran twice for the White House.

News reports have speculated that Clinton may run for mayor of New York City this year, although her book plans and return to the Walker agency make that unlikely.
She has made few public comments since the election, but attended Trump’s inauguration earlier this month and has been publicly critical of his policies. She tweeted in support of the nationwide women’s marches held the day after his inauguration and condemned his recent executive order restricting immigration. Her pinned tweet quotes remarks she gave Nov. 9, the day after Election Day:
"To all the little girls watching…never doubt that you are valuable and powerful & deserving of every chance & opportunity in the world."

They’re “valuable”, indeed.
