The outrage from the liberal media has hit an all-time high since the landslide election of president-elect Donald Trump.
This, despite Trump’s overwhelming margin of victory over Vice President Kamala Harris, which highlighted the national sentiment of the country’s desire for change in Washington D.C.
But according to one big wig at The Washington Post, if Democrats want any chance of reclaiming the White House in the next election (or even the House or Senate), they need to turn up the temperature on the rhetoric.
Which includes telling people that Republicans are “kidding kids.”
You won’t believe this.
Washington Post opinion columnist Jennifer Rubin warned Democrats that if they wanted to get through to voters, they would have to deliver their message in a way that would resonate.
That message, according to Rubin, is spreading fear.
“You have to boil it down to nuts and bolts and you have to be pithy,” she said on a recent episode of her podcast, Jen Rubin’s Green Room. She then offered an example of what she meant by “pithy” when she added, “Republicans want to kill your kids. It’s actually true.”
Yep, she actually said this.

Rubin went on to try and prove her point that it’s comments like these that will only engage the voters, that in her eyes, are disconnected from the Democratic Party.
“For people who don’t get political news, who never pick up a newspaper, who never turn on CNN, who never even bother with Fox News, those people really have no idea what’s going on,” she said, arguing that Democrats had to do everything they could to make sure that they were at least able “to communicate the basic facts.”
“You don’t have a vaccine because, you’re not getting a child tax credit because,” she continued.
“All the good things that are happening at the state level, they have to know why they’re getting those things. Oh, you have a chip manufacturing plant because a Democratic president put that into effect and a Democratic governor went out and solicited bids. And now you have X number of thousands of jobs. It’s that simple.”
As for the “killing” comment, Rubin tried to explain it as a method to resonating with voters.
“You can’t talk broad themes. You have to boil it down to nuts and bolts and you have to be pithy. What do I mean by pithy? How about this? Republicans want to kill your kids. It’s actually true,” she claimed.
“If you’re going to oppose vaccinations, if you’re going to stop breakthrough medical research, if you’re going to allow minors and all sorts of people to get semi-automatic weapons, which they use to shoot up schools, well then you are responsible for kids’ health and death, unfortunately. It has to be that simple and that direct, and it has to be over and over and over again.”
To nobody’s surprise, Rubin’s excessive hyperbole with met with broad criticism across social media.
“The Washington Post should be dismissed as a legitimate or serious publication for willfully platforming this deranged individual for the last decade,” The Federalist’s Mollie Hemingway said.

And Daily Wire Editor Emeritus Ben Shapiro perhaps said it best, adding, “Meanwhile, Democrats literally set up a mobile abortion clinic outside their national convention.”

Ironically enough, Rubin was once a conservative, but she has also stated that the term has been “ruined” by pro-Trump conservatives.
