Republicans turn Dems against each other on illegal immigration

In 2008, Rush Limbaugh asked his listeners to vote in the Democratic presidential primary for whichever candidate was behind at the time, turning the party’s Clinton and Obama factions against one another.

In 2024, a few other Republicans have succeeded in creating a civil war inside the Democratic Party. But this time, the new “Operation Chaos” is not an electoral trick — and it wasn’t produced by deceptive GOP voters. It’s an all-out, Democrat-on-Democrat attack based on one issue: illegal immigration.

How did they do it? They made Democratic voters feel the pain caused by Democratic Party policies.

To make matters official, the new civil war was announced on the Democratic Party’s second-favorite network, CNN. “There does seem to be a bit of a divide inside the Democratic Party about how to grapple with this immigration issue,” said CNN Political Director David Chalian last Wednesday.

“We normally think…that it’s just an issue for the right-wing echo chamber,” he said. But it came up in the race to replace disgraced New York Rep. George Santos.

Democrat Tom Suozzi, who won the election, was advertising “on Fox News, talking about his full defense of ICE.” But, he pointed out, “not every Democrat runs on the immigration issue the way Tom Suozzi did in this district.”

That’s an understatement. The Democrats usually support “sanctuary city” status and amnesty for “migrants.”

But in 2024, even in Democratic polities, illegal immigration through our open southern border “is going to be a front-and-center issue,” the CNN talking head continued. “You see this issue rising in importance for all voters.”

Why caused this sudden, Democratic civil war?

“The whole movement that Greg Abbott did” in order to “bring the migrant issue and crisis to cities, to blue states and cities, that has changed the calculus here,” he concluded.

That’s right: Texas Governor Greg Abbott, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, sent busloads of illegal aliens to liberal sanctuary cities—and the city’s residents are saying, “No mas!”

Looking at the real chaos illegals are churning up in blue cities and states, it’s no surprise. This week, illegal aliens attacked New York police inside a homeless shelter…again, local media sources noted.

How is New York City’s Democratic mayor, Eric Adams responding? He’s giving illegal immigrants cash.

Adams signed off on a program that gives illegal immigrants pre-paid debit cards worth up to $10,000 each.

The handout drew harsh reactions from Republicans. “This debit card program — if you read the actual contract — has the potential to become an open-ended, multibillion-dollar Bermuda Triangle of disappearing, untraceable cash, used for any purpose,” reported Nicole Gelinas of the conservative New York Post.

“New York Post is reporting illegal migrants can get as much as $10,000 each in debit cards,” Tom Borelli, a frequent commentator on NewsmaxTV. “On a scale of 1 to 10 (10 being the highest) how insane is Mayor Adams’ plan? Thoughts??”

When it comes to insanity, Mayor Adams beats out Bo Derek as the Perfect 10.

“Gangs of illegal immigrants are currently taking over New York,” pointed out Chad Prather of The Blaze. “NYPD response: a dance team filled with overweight women.”

But this time, it isn’t just partisan Republicans “pouncing” on an issue. Democrats, especially minorities taken for granted by their elected officials for generations, are speaking out against the policy.

A female voter from New York registered her disgust on TikTok, in terms that could have come straight out of Donald Trump’s MAGA campaign.

“You need to go back home,” said “Who’s really benefiting? At the end of the day, take care of home first. How about taking care of people that’s born here in America first?” she said.

America first? That was literally one of Donald Trump’s campaign slogans.

Things are so bad, New York City’s overstretched, underfunded, thoroughly full homeless shelters are reportedly paying for airline tickets to fly illegal aliens to Utah.

“We know that there are some(illegals) who arrived from (a) New York City shelter this week,” said Victoria Sansur of Telemundo Utah. “They actually told us that the shelter paid for their plane ticket.”

She said New York had created a “crisis of (illegal) immigration here in our state.”

That’s just one Democrat-run city. Take Chicago, where four illegal aliens robbed and strangled a man to death on a Chicago subway Saturday. Like Adams, Chicago’s quasi-socialist Mayor Brandon Johnson has tried desperately to stop the buses of “migrants” from coming…but he’s also rewarding the one who get to the Windy City.

He’s tried to smooth over his preference for illegal aliens by funneling taxpayer money to black-owned businesses…as long as they feed illegal immigrants!

“It really captures what I call ‘the soul of Chicago,’” Johnson said. “It’s who we are.”

A racist, neo-apartheid system that forces all Americans to serve their illegal overlords? That’s not the soul of America; that’s the soul of a civil rights violation.

That’s set Democratic voters off, as well.

One Democratic voter recently told a public meeting he’s outraged to learn the city “will spend $252 million on the illegal migrants” instead of people who live in the Second City.

If illegals keep flooding the city, he said, “In one generation, the black vote will be null.” Hispanics are “playing chess, and you all are playing checkers,” he said.

“You are damning our youth, our next generation to poverty”

The only thing keeping Texas out of poverty is the state’s avoidance of welfare: If you can’t work, you might just sink.

Blue cities are learning that liberal policies have consequences, and they’re paid for by the poorest, weakest Americans…unless those Americans are willing to put their country first.
