Report: Rep. Ilhan Omar loses millions, completely broke!?

“Squad” Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has been labeled a “complete fraud” by a top Republican lawmaker after comments the radical far-Left lawmaker made involving the ongoing fraud investigations in her home state of Minnesota.

Fellow North Star state Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN) called Omar a fraud while discussing her criticism of fraud investigations and scrutiny over a major discrepancy in her personal financial disclosures after multiple claims that her net worth has skyrocketed under circumstances over the past few years.

“Not only should her accountant be fired, but that girl should be fired and she does not deserve to be in Congress,” Emmer told “The Big Weekend Show.”

“Quite frankly, if she is discovered to be involved in any of this fraud personally, that she benefited from it, even by her actions of promoting it and trying to resist investigations, she should be held accountable to the fullest extent,” he added.

Emmer’ pointed to the controversy surrounding Omar’s financial disclosures, which recently drew scrutiny after a filing appeared to dramatically overstate her net worth after previous reports that she was worth nearly $30 million.

An amended filing reviewed by The Wall Street Journal shows Omar and her husband’s assets were between $18,004 and $95,000, a catastrophic drop from an earlier disclosure that estimated their holdings between $6 million and $30 million.

“The amended disclosure confirms what we’ve said all along: The congresswoman is not a millionaire,” Omar spokesperson Jacklyn Rogers told the Journal, adding that the filing was corrected “as soon as the discrepancy was identified.”

Omar’s office has frequently denied that she is a millionaire and blamed the discrepancy on a major accounting error after a congressional financial disclosure listed her assets as high as $30 million, prompting questions from Republicans and a congressional watchdog.

House Oversight Committee Chairman Rep. James Comer (R-KY) also criticized Omar during an appearance Sunday, telling “Fox & Friends Weekend” that he has been pushing the House Ethics Committee to investigate the matter.

“We’re not supposed to do that [investigate it] on the Oversight Committee, but because she’s a person of interest in the Somali fraud, I’ve been trying to get that,” Comer said.

“Now that this financial disclosure form has been changed, I think the Ethics Committee has a lot of questions for her, and we’re going to continue to push them to make sure that she has to answer them.”

However, back in January, Omar’s federal financial disclosures showed millions of dollars in newly reported assets tied to her husband’s businesses, representing a massive increase compared to previous years’ listings.

The disclosures, at the time were filed as part of Congress’ annual financial reporting requirements.

The sudden appearance of the assets at high valuations raised questions at the time about Omar and her husband’s business holdings.

Two of her husband’s business ventures, a Santa Rosa, California-based winery and a Washington, D.C.–based venture capital firm, accounted for the bulk of the reported assets as shown in the now-public disclosures.

Federal disclosure forms do not list exact amounts. However, the winery, listed as eStCru LLC, saw its reported valuation jump from a range of $15,000 to $50,000 in 2023 to between $1 million and $5 million the following year.

However, deeper investigations into the alleged business indicate that it is not a legitimate or operating business.

Omar’s office has yet to offer additional comments on the matter at the time of publication.
