“It’s going to be big.”
This is what one unnamed source said about former President Barack Obama’s planned 60th birthday party at his wealthy Martha’s Vineyard mansion.
But there’s just one problem.
Critics are warning that the star-studded, liberal elite birthday bash could turn into a COVID-19 super spreader event as the delta variant continues to spread across America at a rapid pace.
Obama’s timing couldn’t be worse.
Massachusetts — where the famed Martha’s Vineyard neighborhood is located — has just updated their coronavirus restrictions. According to Fox News reporting, the Centers for Disease control is advising some who are fully vaccinated to bring back their masks.
And Provincetown even reportedly even experienced an outbreak in the area, prompting Cape Cod officials to announce a mask advisory.
Although Obama is reportedly asking those who attend to be vaccinated, he didn’t escape the scorn of some critics who predict that the media will fail to talk about the idea that the former president is potentially putting people in danger.
Brent Bozell — founder of the Media Research Center — asked on Twitter:

According to The Hill, dozens of Obama’s elitist friends are expected to join him — including the likes of Oprah Winfrey and George Clooney.
If it’s anything like his 50th birthday — another star-studded celebration featuring appearances by Tom Hanks and Stevie Wonder to name a few — there’s no telling who else may be invited to the event.
And where they’ll take the potential delta variant after.
