The Deep State has told so many lies civilians might have lost count—but none is more despicable, or potentially deadly, than this one.
A new report, authored by a world-renowned expert, shows a slanted crime statistic could leave you and your loved ones defenseless in the face of armed murderers.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation tracks the nation’s crime figures—including the number of times an innocent person uses a gun in self-defense.
Unfortunately, the FBI also lies about those numbers, according to new analysis from the
Officially, the FBI reports that armed civilians stopped only 3.7 percent of active shooter incidents in the United States between 2014 and 2024.
But the correct figure is actually 10 to 20 times higher over the same 10-year period, according to analysis from the Crime Prevention Research Center.
Good guns exercising their Second Amendment rights stopped between one-third (36 percent) and two-thirds (62 percent) of would-be shooters, said the CPRC, founded by gun research expert John Lott.
“The FBI reports that armed citizens only stopped 14 of the 374 active shooter incidents it identified for the period 2014-2024,” he wrote. “CPRC identified a total of 561 active shooter incidents during that period and found that an armed citizen stopped 202.”
Interestingly, the report notes the discrepancy between official statistics (including “misclassified” acts of self-defense) took a huge jump during the Biden years.
The stakes could hardly be higher: They are the lives of Americans, from nursing homes to preschools.
Lott tried for years to convince Democrats to read mass murderers’ manifestos, where they often “explain why they pick the targets that they do” to engage in mass shootings. “They explicitly go where their victims are defenseless,” like supposedly “gun-free zones.”
Others ask why we protect presidents, politicians, celebrities, and big banks with guns but leave American children (and military bases) defenseless before psychopathic killers.
It turns out this isn’t new—researchers have proven the lie has been going on for years.
Gun control advocates are clueless. They need to read these mass murderers' statements where they explain why they pick the targets that they do? They explicitly go where their victims are defenseless. They don't attack schools with these signs.https://t.co/TRQw9pM8d1 #2A https://t.co/g7g3LRYnj7 pic.twitter.com/waAOLypTtD

Researchers at RealClearInvestigations reported the FBI was undercounting acts of lifesaving self-defense in 2022.
Instead, the Democratic Party gaslighted the American people about the safety of themselves and their innocent children. The legacy media picked up their talking points and recycled them in a series of stories aimed at demoralizing gun owners and convincing the public that concealed carry laws don’t help anyone.
“Rare in US for an active shooter to be stopped by bystander,” claimed the world’s most widely read news agency, the Associated Press.
“The ‘Good Guys With Guns’ Keep Failing to Stop Mass Shootings,” lied Time magazine.
“Uvalde, Buffalo Shootings Expose the Myth of the ‘Good Guy With a Gun,’” said the once-reliably-conservative U.S. News and World Report.
The Soros-funded Center for American Progress channeled these statistics into a report titled, “Debunking the ‘Guns Make Us Safer’ Myth.”
Big Tech fed these stories into their AI algorithms and programmed it right into their search engines.
“Public shootings are very rarely stopped by armed civilians, according to reports and studies from sources such as the FBI, Giffords Law Center to Prevent Gun Violence, and the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training (ALERRT) Center at Texas State University,” says the AI-generated results that appear at the top of a Google search for the term “guns rarely stop public shootings.”
Artificial, yes. Intelligence, no. The facts tell a much different story.
“Almost every major study on the issue has found that Americans use their firearms in self-defense between 500,000 and 3 million times annually,” reported Amy Swearer, a senior legal fellow at the Heritage Foundation.
Only a handful of those millions of cases make the news—but you might remember a few of them.
In June, an attempted church shooter met his Maker when a church member identified and neutralized him in the sanctuary of Crosspointe Community Church in Wayne, Michigan.

Last February, a woman toting a long rifle entered televangelist Joel Osteen’s Lakewood Church in Texas, claiming she had a bomb, but off-duty police officers killed her before she could kill the innocent.

The media stays quiet even when the stories are dramatic—and save the most helpless people from gang violence.
Four armed, masked men broke into the home of a woman in Channelview, Texas, just outside Houston in September 2022. She was home alone with a 12 year old and two 17 year olds. Home invaders rob, assault, and sometimes even rape and murder their victims. But one of the 17-year-old boys protected his home with a shotgun, killing two of the invaders and wounding two more, who fled but were later apprehended by police after the September 2022 incident.
Armed self-defense has proven itself over and over again, even in foreign countries plagued with the greatest acts of public violence. Two armed men shot and killed Palestinian terrorists who opened fire at a Jerusalem bus stop in September. One of them was a sergeant in the Israeli Defense Forces, the other a rabbinical student using a handgun he inherited from his grandfather.
“Of course, law-abiding citizens stopping these attacks are not rare,” said the CPRC. “What is rare is national news coverage of those incidents.”
The FBI counting them may be rare, as well, as the CPRC report shows the feds missed hundreds or thousands of successful acts of self-defense.
The federal government pumping out false statistics should not surprise regular readers. As The Horn exposed, this is the same FBI that did not report more than 3,700 murders in its official crime count during the Biden administration—but retroactively inflated the number of murders in previous Republican presidencies.
Lying was the Biden administration’s way. Then-Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told you inflation would be “transitory” before the largest, most sustained, economy-wide price increases in nearly 40 years.
Impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas testified under oath that the border had been secured, as more illegal aliens—and fentanyl—entered America than at any time in U.S. history.
Dozens of Democrats lied to your about former President Joe Biden’s mental acuity, fitness, and cognitive ability for four solid years—and, if they could have gotten away with it, eight. Meanwhile, an unelected group of staffers ran their favorite far-Left legislation through the autopen.
Everything about the Biden administration, and his two campaigns for president, was a lie shared by the Democratic Party and the legacy media. Remember that when those same outlets start colluding on the midterms.
