A shocking new report from a top editor at The Wall Street Journal has major implications for the future of America’s democracy.
Fox News said the report included “stunning implications.” Indeed, if the implications of the WSJ write-up are proven to be true, the consequences would be historic.

Did the FBI plant a spy inside the Trump presidential campaign?
The question links back to former President Barack Obama and the behavior of former Director James Comey’s FBI during the 2016 presidential election — and a potential connection is deeply disturbing.
On Thursday, the Department of Justice lost a legal battle with the House Congressional Intelligence Committee over classified documents regarding a top-secret source that was part of the Obama administration’s controversial FBI probe of the Trump campaign.
Intelligence Committee Chairman Devin Nunes, a Republican congressman from California, called the documents contents “something that probably should have been answered a while ago.”

“Translation: The department knew full well it should have turned this material over to congressional investigators last year, but instead deliberately concealed it,” The Wall Street Journal’s Kimberley Strassel wrote.
What these secret files contained could reshape the world’s entire political landscape.
Nunes had previously threatened to issue a subpoena to gain access to these documents, which allegedly outlined the actions of an unnamed FBI agent that may have been secretly embedded inside the Trump 2016 presidential campaign. That person, who The Washington Post called a “top secret intelligence source,” may have helped to authorize the controversial wiretap of Trump’s team.
In other words: Comey may have had an undercover FBI agent acting as a mole within the Trump presidential campaign, feeding information to the Obama administration. What that unnamed agent gave Obama may have then been used to authorize a wiretap of the Trump aides.

“This would amount to spying, and it is hugely disconcerting,” Strassel wrote. “It would also be a major escalation from the electronic surveillance we already knew about, which was bad enough.”
The information that the agent fed to the Obama administration may have been from foreign powers.
“We also know that among the Justice Department’s stated reasons for not complying with the Nunes subpoena was its worry that to do so might damage international relationships. This suggests the ‘source’ may be overseas, have ties to foreign intelligence, or both,” Straseel wrote in her stunning piece.
This is notable because there have been numerous foreigners involved in what Trump calls a political “witch hunt” of his administration.

It was an Australian diplomat’s tip regarding a drunken conversation with former Trump aide George Papadopoulos in July 2016 that gave the Obama administration one of their excuses for the controversial FISA wiretap of the Trump campaign.
“Dossier author Christopher Steele is British, used to work for MI6, and retains ties to that spy agency as well as to a network of former spooks. It was a former British diplomat who tipped off Sen. John McCain to the dossier,” Strassel said. “How this ‘top secret’ source fits into this puzzle could matter deeply.”
That implies the secret documents may show the Obama administration was conspiring with foreign powers to directly meddle in an American election on behalf of Democrats.
It’s widely known that Trump and his “America First” message is deeply unpopular outside the United States — and for good reason. It is the exact opposite of the apologetic attitude the Obama administration had maintained for eight years.
Did foreign powers willingly conspire with Obama’s so-called “Deep State” to keep Democrats in the White House?

It’s impossible to answer without access to the documents, which the Department of Justice is fighting tooth-and-nail to keep under wraps. But the question itself is chilling — and it’s clear the FBI’s role in the 2016 presidential election goes deeper than anyone had ever thought.
It’s time the American people knew the truth.
