Outgoing First Lady Jill Biden is embarking on a very outspoken farewell tour as she and her husband, President Joe Biden, prepare to leave the White House on Monday.
One of Biden’s final, deliberate acts is to bury the proverbial hatchet with her husband’s political enemies — including incoming First Lady Melania Trump.
Reports have now surfaced involving a secret note she penned specifically for Melania, with a message that’s shocked many.
This past November, Melania Trump did not accept her traditional invitation for tea at the White House.
The move came as a surprise as this is a long-held tradition for incoming and outgoing First Ladies during the presidential transition.
At the time, Melania Trump said she declined, releasing a statement saying, “…the media continue to provide false, misleading and inaccurate information” about her absence from the event.
Be that as it may, Biden still felt compelled to reach out the Trump in the form of a handwritten letter.
The letter, which was drafted back in November, was handed to then President-elect Donald Trump to give to his wife when they saw each other at the reopening of the Notre Dame in December.
But in an exclusive interview with The Washington Post, Biden revealed exactly what she said to Melania.

“I congratulated her and I offered help,” Jill said of her message, but didn’t immediately hear back from Melania.
“What would be the point of nastiness?”, Biden added.
The two First Ladies ended up meeting at Jimmy Carter’s state funeral on 9 January, with Jill confirming Melania thanked her ‘during pleasantries’.
Now that water seems to be under the proverbial bridge between the two first ladies, Melania Trump did open up about her experiences becoming a first lady the second time around.
Speaking on returning to the White House for the second time, Melania hinted at her first transition not being smooth as ‘information was withheld’ from her and her husband.
“The first time was challenging, we didn’t have much of the information,” the incoming First Lady told Fox & Friends about the first Trump presidential mandate in 2017, lamenting she didn’t receive enough support as she moved into the White House for the first time.
“The information was withheld from us by the previous administration,” Melania continued. “But this time I have everything… it’s a very different transition this time, second time around.”
“Maybe some people see me as just a wife of the President, but I’m standing on my own two feet, independent, I have my own thoughts, I have my own ‘yes’ and ‘no’,” she told Fox News.
Jill Biden confirmed that she will be in attendance at Donald Trump’s inaguration on Monday, with she and Melania likely engaging with each other face-to-face at that time.
