House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has long claimed plausible deniability over her husbands stock trades… even amid concerns about insider trading.
Now she’s refusing to comment about another one of her husband’s escapades: his arrest for DUI.

Paul Pelosi — a businessman and husband to the House speaker — was arrested this weekend on suspicion of DUI in Northern California, police records showed Sunday. Mr. Pelosi’s arrest was first reported by TMZ.
Mr. Pelosi, 82, was taken into custody late Saturday in Napa County north of San Francisco, according to a sheriff’s office online booking report.
It gets worse.
On Sunday, authorities said that the DUI arrest came after a nasty crash.
Mr. Pelosi was reportedly driving a 2021 Porsche through California’s wine country, into an intersection near the town of Yountville. Then he was hit by a 2014 Jeep, the California Highway Patrol said in a statement.
The 48-year-old driver of the Jeep was not arrested. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
He could face charges including driving under the influence and driving with a blood alcohol content level of 0.08 or higher, the report said. His bail was set for $5,000 for the two misdemeanors, records showed.

Yet, the House speaker remans intent on silence.
Drew Hammill, Nancy Pelosi’s spokesperson, told The Associated Press: “The Speaker will not be commenting on this private matter which occurred while she was on the East Coast.”
The House speaker was in Providence, Rhode Island, on Sunday, where she delivered the commencement address at Brown University.
The AP also asked the speaker for comment about the highway patrol statement via a telephone message to her office… but the speaker’s office didn’t immediately return the message.
Ms. Pelosi has continued her track record of silence on her husband’s unseemly behavior. In July, Bloomberg reported that Paul Pelosi made $5.3 million by trading stock options for Alphabet, Inc., the parent company of Google.
In response, Ms. Pelosi’s spokesperson told the outlet in an email, “The speaker has no involvement or prior knowledge of these transactions.” The spokesperson added that Ms. Pelosi doesn’t own stock herself.
However, Ms. Pelosi has spoken about alleged insider trading by other members of the House.

“We have a responsibility to report,” Pelosi said at a press conference in December, regarding the STOCK Act’s requirement for Congress members to report their stock trades.
Paul and Nancy Pelosi have been married since 1963. Speaker Pelosi — like President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump — appears to abstain from alcohol.
