Talk radio star said he’ll stop Donald Trump in 2024

He’s the biggest talk radio star in the United States. He calls himself the King of All Media… and he may become the President of All Media.

On Tuesday, the radio shock jock Howard Stern reportedly threatened to run for president against former President Donald Trump to stop his potential 2024 campaign.

Stern talked to co-host Robin Quivers about running, according to The Hill, and bragged that he’d “beat his a**.”

On the air, the two said:

Quivers: If Trump decides to run again, you have to run against him… That’s my plan.

Stern: I know. I’ll beat his a**!

Quivers: You can’t leave it to the Democrats.

According to The Hill, Stern took issue with Trump’s phone call to Georgia’s secretary of state Brad Raffensperger in early January 2021.

“I would just sit there and play that f***ing clip of him,” Stern said on air, according to The Hill. “There’s no way I’d lose.”

All the while, Quivers was laughing.

The report is no surprise. Throughout the years, Stern has repeatedly disparaged Trump — including this past Monday and Tuesday.

Stern first lambasted Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers for lying about his vaccination status, and then he steered the conversation toward Trump.

Stern played an audio clip of Rodgers saying, “Yeah, I’m immunized,” upon being asked about his vaccination status last in August.

Rodgers recently tested positive for the deadly virus and then admitted to receiving homeopathic treatment instead of a COVID-19 vaccine. For several months, he was violating his employer’s coronavirus protocol for unvaccinated employees.

Stern took Rodgers’ lie as an opportunity to bash both the Left and the Right, before moving onto Trump.

“Every anti-vaxxer has their own bulls**t COVID cure,” Stern said on the radio. “The conservatives have their horse medication. Hippes have their sage and garlic and ginger. You know. Everyone’s got some cure, and they’ll take this crazy s**t. But they won’t take the vaccine, which is medically approve, which has been checked out. It’s effective.”

Stern went viral later that day for those comments. He used his Tuesday show to address the public reaction and — again — to bash both sides.

He said:

I was like, “Aaron Rodgers is a scumbag.” It’s a no-brainer, slam dunk…

I don’t care what side of the world you’re on, whether you’re a right-winger, left-winger, in the middle somewhere. F**king guy’s got teammates. He’s sort of, with a wink, saying he’s vaccinated…

Listen. These people have to go home to their families. They think he’s immunized. They have to go home to their kids, their parents.

He doesn’t seem to understand why people are upset with him.

They’re upset not because — you know. There’s a lot of movie stars who have actually walked away from movies because they do not want to be vaccinated. At least they’re telling the truth! This guy’s a f**king liar, and he could have destroyed a lot of people.

Stern then went after Trump. He mused about skilled figures and their poor decisions, and he cited Steve Jobs’ decision to treat his cancer with alternative medicine.

“This goes under the Steve Jobs category,” Stern said. “It’s the Trump bubble. ‘I’m an eccentric genius.’ Or whatever he says.”

Co-host Quivers corrected him, “‘I’m a stable genius.'”

Trump tweeted in 2018, “Actually, throughout my life, my two greatest assets have been mental stability and being, like, really smart. I think that would qualify as not smart, but genius… and a very stable genius at that!”

Stern ran for governor of New York in 1994 as a Libertarian but lost badly. He has hosted Trump on his show in the past, but he has criticized Trump relentlessly for the last five years.

Stern concluded on Monday, “I don’t know what has happened to this country.”

He played a sound bite of a cuckoo clock.
