Liberal New York Mayor Bill De Blasio has consistently disrespected police officers, and now they’re doing the same to him.
At a funeral for slain officer Miosotis Familia, De Blasio delivered a eulogy during which hundreds on NYPD officers turned their backs, according to the New York Post.

Their disapproval of the mayor comes after De Blasio headed to Germany to participate in a rally protesting President Donald Trump, just one day after Familia was murdered by madman Alexander Bonds.
He also missed a swearing-in for new police recruits, an event that desperately needed his support in the wake of an attack on one of their own officers.
“Mr. Mayor, you didn’t have to travel to Germany for a protest – all you had to do is speak in front of the men and women of the NYPD,” said Sergeant Benevolent Associated President Ed Mullins.
The officers played on their phones and talked among each other as De Blasio spoke. When Police Commissioner James O’Neill stepped up to the podium to speak, most of the protesting officers turned around.
But even then, some officers continued the snub to the Police Commissioner as well.
When Sgt. Hugh Barry fatally shot a woman wielding scissors in October, many felt O’Neill didn’t stand up for his officer. He said the police “failed,” and offered no empathy for the cop who was charged with murder.
“They preach support for us, but these have become hallow words only used in an election year,” one officer said.
And this isn’t the first time cops have shown their disapproval of De Blasio.
Officers turned their backs to the mayor during the funerals of slain Detectives Rafael Ramos and Wenjian Liu, who were executed in 2014.
