“On the Holmes Front,” with Frank Holmes
Since the midterm elections, the media pundits at CNN have said President Donald Trump is sure to go down as a one-term president… if he doesn’t get impeached and run out of town on a rail.
With an energized Democratic majority taking over the House, and the Mueller investigation closing in, Trump may as well start packing up his things and getting ready to move back into Trump Tower or Mar-a-Lago, the liberal network tells it’s viewers.
But as usual, they’re wrong.
Donald Trump is actually in better shape than former President Barack Obama was at this point in his first term.
Two new polls show that President Trump is likely to keep making America great again—and making liberals’ heads explode—for another six years.
“With the midterm election in the books, voters are shifting their attention to the presidential election in 2020 and are growing more convinced that there’s a second term in sight for the 45th president,” according to the polling organization Rasmussen Reports.
The largest chunk of people they asked about the 2020 election—47% of all Americans— believe that Donald Trump will be re-elected.
Just over one-in-four believe a Democrat, any Democrat, can beat him in two years’ time. And a very tiny 16% believe he’ll be impeached.
The Democrats and the media — but then, I repeat myself — may want Trump gone, but the American people say Trump will win… because Trump is a winner.
The media is ignoring evidence that Americans back the president, because it doesn’t fit their hate-Trump narrative.
First of all, Donald Trump is strong with his own party—and getting stronger.
A brand new poll finds that 61% of Republicans don’t want anyone to challenge the president in the Republican primaries. That’s better than Obama did in the same Pew Research poll at this point in his first term.
That means most of the GOP has gotten behind the president and want Never-Trump challengers like Mitt Romney or Jeff Flake to flake-off.
Trump had barely taken his hand off the Bible at his inauguration before he filed papers to run for re-election…and Mike Pence has agreed to serve as his vice president another four years.
Once they sure up their hold on the Republican nomination, the Trump-Pence ticket is so strong that even foreign overseas believe they’re going to serve another term together.
“Donald Trump will be hard to beat in 2020 if the economy remains in a strong position,” said Professor Dan Stevens, an expert on U.S. politics at the University of Exeter in England.
Donald Trump — unlike his Democratic opponents — has support all over America, not just on the coasts and run-down warzones like Chicago.
“The Electoral College coalition he built two years ago looks fairly solid,” Stevens said.
The Left may resort to vote-counting shenanigans in blue states like California again in 2020…but everyday Americans in the heartland could power him to victory on election night.
I know, all this flies in the face of anything you’ve seen or heard on the news.
The networks have been hyping a new poll saying that most Americans can’t wait to chuck Trump out of office.
The liberal media keep talking about a survey that says 59% of Americans want to see someone other than Donald Trump elected president in 2020.
But that Monmouth University poll doesn’t measure likely voters. Not all the people in that poll are even registered to vote.
No wonder 77% of Americans think the media are biased against Trump.
Don’t get me wrong: Trump’s re-election is way from assured. A long way.
But the economy is surging. Wages are rising. Unemployment hasn’t been so good since the Sixties.
Trump is finally doing something to plug the holes in our leaky border — an issue most Americans say is one of their top concerns.
He’s standing tall and making people proud of their country, and a different Rasmussen poll found that most Americans “share the president’s ‘America First’ attitude.” They like the fact that he’s stopped Obama’s policy of handing out foreign aid and telling the rest of the world they’re right to hate us.
Of course, there’s also the fact that Democrats are their own worst enemy.
Democrats in Congress will go too far. They’re not even sworn in, and some members are already talking about impeachment.
They can’t hide their hatred for Trump, and for two years, they’ll spew insults and outrage at him, like they did at Brett Kavanaugh.
It’s true that Trump’s approval rating isn’t high…then again, with this kind of media bias, it’s a miracle anyone likes him at all!
But Trump’s favorable rating is way higher than Congress. That’s only going to rise if Democrats spend all their time investigating fake scandals, raging against the president, and blocking the agenda the American people elected him to get done.
The Democrats and CNN may just hate Donald Trump into a second term.
