If former President Donald Trump ran for the Republican presidential nomination in 2024 right now, he’d win.
But it wouldn’t be as big a victory as many Trump supporters would think.

That’s according to a surprising Echelon Insights poll released on Tuesday. The Virginia-based data company claimed that Republican voters had turned on Trump in stunning numbers.
“If the 2024 GOP presidential primaries were being held today, Republicans would choose Trump to be the nominee by 7 points,” Echelon said.
However, his support has reportedly shifted a stunning 20 points down since December. According to the Echelon Insights report, only 47 percent of registered Republicans say they want “to see Donald Trump run for president in 2024.” 40 percent said they preferred if another Republican candidate ran, and 11 percent said they were undecided.
In December 2020, that same survey showed 65 percent of Republican voters wanted Trump to run again.
It’s a remarkable claim considering Trump left office with record-high support among Republicans.
Without Trump on the 2024 primary ballot, former Vice President Mike Pence scored the most support among likely Republican voters. In a distant second? Donald Trump, Jr.

But don’t take our word for it.
Check out the survey below. Then, vote and let us know if you’d like Trump to run for president again.
If Trump were not to run in the 2024 primaries, Pence would be the favorite???? with 21% supporting the former VP. Donald Trump Jr. and Nikki Haley are close behind with 10% and 9% of the vote, respectively. pic.twitter.com/N1q52zjYNa
