Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., believe and act as if they are the future of America.
But voters are ready to flat-out reject them.
According to a bombshell new poll, “The Squad” are they’re going to end up costing Democrats everything — and help President Donald Trump cruise to re-election in 2020.
Several high-ranking Democrats are sounding the alarm after an internal poll shows that Ocasio-Cortez and Omar have become the definitional face for the party with a group of swing voters that will be crucial in the election.
The poll, taken in May, found that “The Squad” – Ocasio-Cortez, Omar, Rep. Rashida Tlaib of Michigan, and Rep. Ayanna Pressley of Massachusetts – are incredibly unpopular with general-election voters who are white and have two years or less of a college education.
This huge block of voters is crucial because they are the “white, non-college voters” who voted for Trump in 2016 — but voted for former President Barack Obama in 2008 and 2012. It’s the block of voters that Democrats need to flip if they want to win the presidency.
Top Democrats are apparently so worried about this poll that they are warning it could even cost them control of the U.S. House of Representatives.
The main takeaway from the poll: An overwhelming majority of voters are aware of Omar and Ocasio-Cortez – and they can’t stand them.

Here are some of the main findings detailed by Axios:
- Ocasio-Cortez was recognized by 74% of voters in the poll; only 22% had a favorable view.
- Rep. Ilhan Omar of Minnesota — another member of The Squad — was recognized by 53% of the voters; 9% (not a typo) had a favorable view.
Did you see that?
Omar is so unpopular that Axios actually made a note to readers that her single-digit approval rating was “not a typo.”
She’s actually that unpopular.

Socialism was viewed favorably by just 18 percent of the voters and unfavorably by a whopping 69 percent:
- Capitalism was 56% favorable; 32% unfavorable.
- “Socialism is toxic to these voters,” said the top Democrat.
Speaking on the condition of anonymity, one top Democrat involved in the 2020 House races told Axios, “If all voters hear about is AOC, it could put the [House] majority at risk. She’s getting all the news and defining everyone else’s races.”
The poll may be shocking to Democrats, but most Americans are well-aware of how radical, dangerous, and obnoxious “The Squad” really is.
Since becoming members of Congress back in January, all four Democratic lawmakers have insulted Trump, smeared their Republican colleagues, slandered law enforcement, called our Border Patrol agents Nazis and, above all, had continuously implied that America is a racist nation that must change into a socialist-state.
Tlaib has blamed Trump for the “border crisis” and agreed with Ocasio-Cortez that migrant detention facilities are the same as Nazi-style concentration camps.
On Nov. 6, 2018, the night Tlaib won her election, she called Trump a “motherf***er” and vowed to impeach him.
Omar has come under fire countless times in recent months for making abhorrent comments.
The radical Muslim lawmaker said it is “un-American” for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials to detain illegal aliens, used a House floor speech to smear conservative people of faith, and insulted Trump voters by calling them “ignorant.”
She also disgustingly described the Sep. 11, 2001, terror attacks – which resulted in almost 3,000 innocent Americans being killed – as “some people did something.”
Pressley has echoed many of these comments, but her unique style is to refuse to even accept that Trump is actually the president.
Pressley calls Trump the “occupant” of the White House and claims Trump is not “worthy” of being called the president.
And last, but certainly not least, is the ever-present AOC.
The 29-year-old bartender turned socialist lawmaker has too made so many controversial comments it’s hard to keep up.
In the past month alone, she has called Trump “racist,” accused the administration of running a “torture project” along the US-Mexico border; claimed the president is “torturing” children in “concentration camps”; and accused Border Patrol agents of sexually assaulting migrants.
With all of this in mind, it’s more than obvious why voters loathe “The Squad.”
And if they continue to make outrageous comments like these – which they likely will – Democrats are smart to worry that Trump has a strong chance of cruising to a second term in office.
