If one were to listen to the mainstream media, you’d think that President Donald Trump was the most unpopular person in America since Osama Bin Laden.
But when you turn off the liberal media and talk to regular Americans, the story is different. MUCH different.
And the latest poll results must have former President Barack Obama ready to tear his hair out.
Trump’s powerful State of the Union address on Tuesday was well received by American voters. According to CBS News, 76 percent of viewers responded positively to the president’s “America First” message.
At the same time, Democratic lawmakers sat in the audience and scowled — and the latest Rasmussen Poll shows that Americans are rallying to Trump’s call for unity, and away from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her divisive attitude.
Trump’s approval rating has soared from 44 percent earlier this week to 50 percent Friday — once again putting him above Obama’s approval ratings for the same time during their presidency.
The president’s approval rating dipped during the government shutdown in late January; voters reportedly blamed Trump for the failed negotiations.
But voters were eager to embrace Trump’s call for unity, bipartisanship, and for putting America First.
Considering polling data generally skews in favor of liberal politicians, this is especially good for the White House.
It puts Trump directly on track for re-election heading towards the Democratic presidential primary and 2020 election.
