California Rep. Ted Lieu, a Democrat, use a moment of prayer Monday to spit on the memory of all the Texas church shooting victims… just to score cheap political points.
Folks, this is how low the Democratic Party has sunk.
During a moment of silence on the House floor Monday, Lieu got up and walked out. Apparently, Lieu thinks his opinions are more important than honoring the 18-month-old, the pregnant mother, the 77-year-old, and all the other Christian victims who were massacred Sunday morning.
He said, “I will not be silent.”
Instead, the liberal lawmaker stepped out of the room to post a video to his Facebook page.
Preaching his own opinions was the only thing that mattered to Lieu in that moment. Clearly silence is not one of his talents.

“My colleagues right now are doing a moment of silence in the House of Representatives’ chambers,” Lieu said. “I respect their right to do that and I myself have participated in many of them.”
Since being elected in 2014, Lieu most likely has sat through many moments of silence. Unfortunately for the Texas shooting victims, Lieu did not believe they deserved his silence, prayers, or even common decency for just a brief moment.
“I can’t do this again, I’ve been to too many moments of silences. In just my short period in congress three of the worst mass shootings in us history have occurred. I will not be silent.”
Unfortunately for viewers, Lieu’s uncalled-for rant did not end there. He proceeded to state that the House needs to take action and “pass gun safety legislation now.”
That’s right. He used a moment of prayer for the victims of a horrific massacre to login to Facebook and score cheap political points with his voters.
Critics were quick to break things down for him.
Yes, there was many causalities in the Texas shooting — but the violence was put to an end thanks to the protection of a gun.
In fact, the hero that prevented the atheist gunman from claiming any more lives was the only member of the NRA present that Sunday.
Well, I’ll be darned! Ironic isn’t, Congressman Lieu?
If it were not for the actions of Stephen Willeford, a former NRA instructor, authorities believe there would have been many more causalities.
The hero behind the mass shooting proves what all Democrats are too afraid to confront — guns are not the problem, killers that break the law are!
As it happens, the atheist madman should have been prevented from owning a gun… if bureaucrats had done their part.
On Monday, the Air Force acknowledged that they had neglected to report to the FBI that the killer had a court martial conviction for domestic assault to civilian, which could have prevented him purchasing the firearms used in the shooting.
Congressman Lieu apparently wasn’t interested in the facts during his unwanted preaching because he explained “I urge us to pass reasonable gun safety legislation, including a universal background check law supported by 80 percent of Americans, a ban on assault rifles and a ban on bump stocks,.”
According to all current laws, the gunman would never have been able to buy his weapons.
Is that Facebook worthy?
