Unfortunately, the sport is increasingly being used as a left-wing propaganda tool, and that’s now extending to the Big Game itself.
It seems no place is safe, and the decision to hand the half-time performance to Lady Gaga could go down as one of the biggest blunders in broadcast history.
And what she has planned could blow Janet Jackson’s “nipplegate” right out of the water!
Gaga is known for pulling outrageous stunts at every chance, from strutting around in a meat dress to showing up for the Grammy Awards inside of a giant egg.
But there’s something else she’s known for that’s even crazier than her stunts, and that’s her nutty left-wing politics.
She was a BIG TIME Hillary Clinton supporter, speaking out for her on the campaign trail.
Of course, none of the celebrity egomaniacs who backed Clinton have figured out that they HURT their own cause instead of HELPING it. If there was anything clear from the past year, it’s that Americans on both the left and right are sick of being lectured at by the elites.
But all indications are that won’t stop Gaga on Sunday. One report said she had been told directly by the NFL not to get political – but the league dismissed it as “nonsense”
In other words, she’s free to torment America with the one thing worse than her music: Her politics.
Asked Thursday at a news conference if she planned to make a political statement at the event, Gaga said:
“The only statements that I’ll be making during the halftime show are the ones that I’ve been consistently making throughout my career. I believe in a passion for inclusion. I believe in the spirit of equality, and that the spirit of this country is one of love and compassion and kindness. My performance will uphold those philosophies.”
Now, no one would argue against inclusion, equality, compassion and kindness.
But that’s not REALLY what she’s talking about, because those are all PC dog whistles for the leftist agenda.
She’s in so deep with the left that Vegas bookies are actually taking bets on whether or not she’ll use the word “Trump” in her show.
Hint: There’s a big payout if she DOESN’T mention him!
This is just par for the course in today’s NFL, where Colin Kaepernick can disrespect the National Anthem – and, by extension, the nation that made him a multimillionaire despite a mediocre career – by refusing to stand.
Instead of getting fined, he was actually HONORED by his teammates with an award for “inspirational and courageous play.”
If there’s any consolation, it’s that Kaepernick will have the same seat for the Super Bowl as you do… because he’ll be watching it from home.
