Vice President Kamala Harris had a bad night on Thursday when her “please clap” moment went viral, thanks in part to one of Fox News’ biggest stars.
On his hit show “Hannity,” host Sean Hannity welcomed fellow Fox News stars Jimmy Failla, Dagen McDowell, and Sean Duffy to discuss the moment Harris walked into a room of students from historically Black colleges and universities — and was greeted with near total silence.
The audience had to be reminded to clap for Harris — but still didn’t.
It was “another blunder-filled day” for the vice president, Hannity said.
“The audience had to be reminded to clap for the vice president,” he said. “You really can’t make this up.”
“They still didn’t clap, then it got worse with yet another rant about Venn diagrams,” he said, reminding the audience of Harris’ frequent use of confusing Venn diagrams.
“I don’t know what she likes better: Venn diagrams or giggling,” Hannity said.
President Biden think there is “a guy named Ben Diagram,” joked Failla. McDowell said Venn diagrams are a staple of elementary school teachers and showed Harris talked “to adults like they’re children — but it’s really the other way around.”
“She wasn’t really that upset about the students clapping for her. She walked in there feeling saucy and sassy and vivacious and alive — because she’s not Pete Buttigieg,” McDowell said.
Hannity later said he didn’t know what was more concerning: A second term for President Joe Biden, or if Harris won the presidency in 2024.
“I think that’s the point of the Democrats, right?” Duffy replied. “They look at Kamala Harris, and she’s unserious.”
Democrats “can’t have Kamala, so they’re stuck with Joe. Think about the Chinese, they watch Joe Biden, and they watch Kamala Harris,” he told Hannity. “How unserious do they think we are?”
