Former lawyer Michael Cohen may have just committed perjury again while testifying in front of Congress.
That’s according to both Eric Trump and Donald Trump, Jr. — and the facts don’t look good for Cohen.

If he’s convicted of lying while under oath (again) it could negate any deal he struck with special counsel Robert Mueller and New York state prosecutors in exchange for his guilty plea.
Cohen appeared before the House Intelligence Committee on Wednesday at the invitation of Rep. Elijah Cummings, D-M.D. and didn’t pull his punches.
In his opening statement, he called President Donald Trump a liar. Cohen said the president was an outspoken racist. He said he was a conman, a cheater, and a womanizer who would say or do anything to win.
Of course, that means either Cohen is a liar… or he voluntarily worked right beside the world’s most loathsome, horrific racist for 10 years and never bothered to say anything.

And he might have also talked himself into more jail time with the stunt.
Cohen was slammed by Rep. Jim Jordan, R-O.H., for his first act of perjury.
“This may be the first time someone convicted of lying to Congress has appeared again so quickly in front of Congress,” Jordan said during his opening statement. “Certainly it’s the first time a convicted perjurer has been brought back to be a star witness in a hearing.”
“There is the reason this is the a first: Because no other committee would do it,” Jordan said, a shot at Cummings invitation.
Jordan suggested that Cohen’s betrayal of Trump was an act of revenge. Cohen wanted a job at the White House, Jordan said, and didn’t get what he wanted… and now he’s looking for payback.

Cohen quickly denied that he ever wanted a job at the White House.
You can see the exchange here —
Rep. Jordan questions Cohen's motivations: "Here's what I see, you didn't get a job in the White House and are behaving like everyone else who didn't get the job they wanted […] selfish motivation after you don't get what you want." It happens quickly, and it catches Jordan off guard.

It’s yet another lie, insiders say — and a serious one. Considering Cohen was under oath and is heading to prison soon as part of a plea deal, another perjury charge could tack on to his sentence… or worse, automatically qualify him for the maximum jail term.
In other words, Cohen may have committed perjury again just minutes into his second sworn testimony in front of the lawmakers — and it could cost him big time.
Eric Trump tweeted —
Michael was lobbying EVERYONE to be “Chief of Staff.” It was the biggest joke in the campaign and around the office. Did he just perjure himself again?

In fact, even CNN fact checkers rushed to call Cohen a liar.

“He very much wanted a job in the White House,” CNN star Dana Bash said.

Trump, Jr. also said it was well known that Cohen was desperate for a White House gig.

Additionally, he said there were “dozens of people” willing to testify under oath that Cohen lied again.
I bet there dozens of people that would swear under oath that this is a lie. Including me.

Rather than save his own skin by appearing before Congress, it looks like Cohen may have talked himself into some more jail time.
It seems he just can’t stop lying.
