Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., has kept a relatively low profile over the past few weeks. Monday afternoon, though, she got trapped in a humiliating situation — and she couldn’t escape.
She got offended and blamed Sen. Rick Scott, R-F.L. — and critics say is made Ocasio-Cortez look terrible.
It all started when Scott tweeted in response to Sen. Cory Booker’s, D-N.J., gun law reform.
“If you want to buy a gun, @CoryBooker wants you to register with the federal government. This would be scary if Booker had any chance of becoming President.”
🚨BREAKING: the latest terrible idea to come out of the Democrats' 2020 primary is a federal gun registry. If you want to buy a gun, @CoryBooker wants you to register with the federal government.

In jest, Scott then continued and poked fun at Ocasio-Cortez to drive home the point about how delusional Democrats’ policies are.
“What’s next? Will we have to register sharp knives? Maybe @AOC will make us register every time we buy meat as part of her #GreenNewDeal.”

The Democrats are officially the @BernieSanders Party. They want America to be less prosperous and less free. (2/2)

That’s when Ocasio-Cortez went into attack mode — and fell into Scotts trap.
All over what was supposed to be a sarcastic joke.
“That a sitting US Senator can say something lacking so much critical thinking + honesty is embarrassing to the institution,” she wrote.

If you were a female candidate, maybe you’d be called “unlikeable,” “crazy,” or “uninformed.”
But since you’re not, this inadequacy is accepted as normal. https://t.co/KLkaYxfT6K

Scott told her the truth — and he didn’t mince any words either.
That a sitting Congresswoman doesn’t understand sarcasm would be embarrassing to the institution if you hadn’t embarrassed yours to the point of irrelevance already.

Scott reminded her that she had long ago embarrassed not only herself but the entire House chamber. Her wacky policies and unhinged attacks have inspired hysteria among Democrats.
For proof, look no further than the bucket of fried chicken front and center on the House floor. Ever since Ocasio-Cortez’ November election, she’s doused fuel onto the political fireworks, helping turn Congress into an even bigger circus.
Ocasio-Cortez tried to question Scott’s intellectual judgment.
It backfired severely and, in the end, left her scrambling to change the subject.
