An award-winning investigative journalist has uncovered a shocking story involving former President Barack Obama and illegal surveillance operations, reportedly led by former Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, that attacks the very core of the United States democracy.
So why haven’t the majority of Americans heard about this jaw-dropping tale of illegal wiretapping and intimidation?
Because the mainstream media is completely focused on the impeachment trial of President Donald Trump — and they’re ignoring the biggest story to break since Watergate.
According to Sharyl Attkisson, who has won five Emmy awards and the Edward R. Murrow award for investigative journalism, said the Obama administration illegally spied on her and deleted information straight from her computer.
And she wants the world to hear about it so that President Donald Trump’s administration can help shed light on the injustice.
Attkisson filed a lawsuit in 2015 against Obama that was ultimately dismissed — but now, a federal whistleblower that says they were directly involved in the illegal spying has come forward to verify her story.
“The plaintiffs first acquired the details regarding key individuals involved in the surveillance in August 2019 from a person involved in the wrongdoing who has come forward to provide information,” a complaint Attkisson filed in Maryland earlier this month read.
Hoping to get the word out, Attkisson recently appeared on conservative radio host Glenn Beck’s program to share her story.
“The press made you look like a loon and a crazy person when you were reporting the facts on Benghazi,” Beck said. “And then, I’ll never forget a video you took … someone turning on your computer and deleting things for your computer. Is that what was happening?”
“Well, that was way after the initial forensics and discovery of the government intrusion,” Attkisson said, referring to her lawsuit. “Yes, on a third computer, while I was working there was remote access and hyper-quick deletion before my very eyes.”
Attkisson said the liberal media attempted to discredit her by using an outside computer expert that claimed Attkisson deleted her own files — which she denied at the time.
Now, Attkisson said a witness from inside the Obama administration has come forward to verify her story.
“We have a former federal agent involved in the surveillance — who has admitted being a part of it — and has helped us with information,” she said in the interview.
“How did this guy, or this woman, flip? And why?” Beck asked.
“The lawsuit I filed and fought for six years, that was ultimately dismissed … by the main judge that said I should have the names of the agents involved, not just the forensic proof the government [acted illegally]. I needed to know the names of the people that were involved,” she said. “We argued that we couldn’t do that unless we got discovery [of classified U.S. documents].”
“So we put out an all-call for information because we were at a dead-end… and we were contacted by people that have been vetted [by outside sources],” Attkisson said.
She said some of the federal agents named are already in prison for government corruption — and she’s hoping this will be enough to convince the courts to release critical information to her lawyers.
These weren’t rogue agents — this was coordination at the very highest level that leads straight to Rod Rosenstein’s office inside the U.S. Attorney General’s office and the Department of Justice.
“If the Department of Justice doesn’t want to prosecute themselves, though, this goes nowhere… unless there’s public pressure demanding they do so,” Attkisson said.
“Is there any indication to you that any of this stuff … any clue that this stuff will be cleaned up, that anyone can ride into the rescue here?” Beck asked.
“So far, sadly, no,” she said. The same people fighting her from inside the Obama administration remain in place and “don’t seem to care” about the forensic evidence of illegal surveillance Attkisson claims to have acquired.
“These are undeniable forensics — these aren’t something you can dispute over whether it’s [the U.S. government was illegally spying],” she said.
“They’re, in essence, covering-up and obstructing [the investigation],” Attkisson told Beck. “I don’t know what to do about that except to say … there are still people in important places that don’t want this to come to light.”
“This isn’t about me,” she said. “This was done, we believe, on hundreds of innocent U.S. citizens and journalists. I just happened to have the intel contacts to get the forensic exam and prove it.”
