Ex-con O.J. Simpson has a stern warning for convicted celebrity Bill Cosby behind bars.
The embattled comedian formerly known as “America’s Dad” was sentenced to between three and 10 years behind bars on Wendesday for sexually assaulting a woman in 2004.
Simpson warned Cosby to watch out behind bars because “rapists are frowned upon in prison.”
TMZ caught Simpson out golfing on Wednesday in Nevada and asked, “Any advice for him, life behind bars?”
Simpson replied, “I’m sure there will be guys protecting him, but they’re gonna have to put him in protective custody because it takes one nut, ya know?”
According to Simpson, Cosby could be in danger in prison because of his status as a “sexually violent predator.”
“The problem is the nature of the crime, rape is frowned upon in prison,” Simpson pointed out.
Since being placed into custody, Cosby has been in a cell alone at the State Correctional Institution Phoenix. The former actor is still awaiting his final prison assignment.
But, Simpson also noted that he believes that Cosby does not deserve to be placed behind bars. Simpson, who served nine years behind bars for armed robbery and kidnapping, said Cosby should be placed on house arrest.
“With his health and his age and the nature of the crime, there’s not a warden in this country wants the responsibility of a Bill Cosby,” Simpson said. “I think they should let him do his time under house arrest.”
