Former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley sparked outrage after images surfaced of her writing “Finish them – America HEART Israel, Always” on an Israeli artillery shell during a visit to the country’s northern border with Lebanon.
The images were shared on social media by Danny Danon, an Israeli politician and ex-U.N. ambassador, according to Reuters.
They showed Haley crouched in front of pallets of 155mm artillery shells, using a marker to scrawl the message on one of them.
Haley, a potential 2024 vice presidential contender, had also visited sites along the Gaza border ravaged by the Hamas attack on October 7th, including the location of the deadly Nova music festival massacre.
Her actions drew swift condemnation from several far-Left organizations and “woke” public figures.
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, a Muslim advocacy group accused of having ties to radical Islamic terror organizations, released a statement accusing Haley of advocating “genocide” against Palestinians.
“Nikki Haley’s grotesque display of support for Israel’s genocide follows her previous call for Palestinian refugees to be ethnically cleansed from their land and forced into neighboring countries,” CAIR stated. “By championing U.S. complicity in Israel’s genocide of Palestinians following a tour of illegal Israeli settlements, Haley marks herself as a shameless advocate for occupation and genocide.”
Amnesty International USA also weighed in, posting on Twitter (X): “Conflict is no place for stunts.”
Liberal actor John Cusack went further, calling Haley a “vicious thuggette,” “ghoul,” and “criminally insane” in a series of denunciatory tweets. “What can you say about a human being who writes this? You could tell her to go to HELL but she’s already in it,” Cusack wrote.
While Haley has not directly addressed the criticism yet, her symbolic gesture has inflamed those who back Islamic militant groups like Hamas — which will likely only gain Haley more support in America.
