“On the Holmes Front” with Frank Holmes
President Donald Trump has promised to listen to the voice of the American people—and he plans to start by tuning out NPR.
National Public Radio is part of a taxpayer-funded public media behemoth that takes in half-a-billion dollars a year from taxpayers to regurgitate left-wing talking points and Democratic propaganda rejected by the vast majority of people who fund them.
The leaders of NPR and PBS got called before Congress on Wednesday and schooled on the dangers of looking down on the people who pay your bills.
NPR CEO Katherine Maher got shredded in public by a first-term Republican congressman named Brandon Gill of Texas.
Gill drilled Maher about her belief in race-based reparations for slavery and her love for the book, The Case for Reparations.
“I don’t think I’ve ever read that book,” lied Maher…but Gill had the receipts.
“You tweeted about it. You said you took a day off to fully read The Case for Reparations. You put that on Twitter in January of 2020,” he responded.
“Do you think that white people should pay reparations?”asked Gill. When Maher said “I have never said that,”
Not only did Maher says she read the book, but she went into an orgasmic reparations ran: “Yes, the North. Yes, all of us. Yes, America. Yes, our original collective sin and unpaid debt. Yes, reparations. Yes, on this day.”
“Apologies, I don’t recall that,” said Maher.
Watch my colleague @RepBrandonGill expose @NPR CEO Katherine Maher as an activist who runs the Taxpayer-funded network as the propaganda arm of the radical Left.
Good work, sir.
Gill: Do you believe that America is addicted to white supremacy?

Breitbart News called one of Congressman Gill’s exchanges with Maher “the funniest 30 seconds in Congress today.”
But conservatives pointed out that Gill “isn’t showboating here — he’s calmly cross-examining a defendant in the dock, exposing her lies before the jury (i.e., us, the taxpaying public). Verdict: Guilty,” concluded immigration expert and National Review contributor Mark Krikorian of the Center for Immigration Studies.
“Catching a Liberal White Lady tweeting in 2020 that she took a day off to fully absorb a v. important book about reparations, and making her admit under oath she probably didn’t read it after all is an all-timer of Liberal White Lady moments,” laughed conservative commentator Mary Katherine Ham.
It’s not just Maher’s love of CRT, BLM, and forcing white people who never owned slaves to pay “reparations” to black people who were never slaves. Maher has been outspoken about her political love of left-wing Democrats and white-hot hatred of Republicans and conservatives.
Maher got “excited” after Elizabeth “Pocahontas” Warren decided to run for Senate in Massachusetts.
In 2016, she announced she “just can’t wait” to vote for Hillary Clinton. Four years later, she publicly supported Joe Biden, saying he had no choice because “I’m a supporter of human rights, dignity, justice.”
Maher is so liberal, she literally salivates to hang out with Democrats. “Had a dream where Kamala and I were on a road trip in an unspecified location, sampling and comparing nuts and baklava from roadside stands.”
“Woke up very hungry,” wrote Maher.
Creepy.
Of course, Maher didn’t like everything about her candidate. “I do wish Hillary wouldn’t use the language of “boy and girl” – it’s erasing language for non-binary people,” said Maher. But Maher must believe in gender: She slammed men for having “toxic masculinity” in 2018.
After President Trump beat Hillary in 2016, Maher announced she had joined The Resistance. Instead of flexing her “cis white mobility privilege” and leaving the United States after Trump’s triumph, Maher announced that she had decided to spend the next four years “ridding ourselves of this specter of tyranny.”
Somebody, she said, had to fight the Oval Office’s “deranged, racist sociopath.” She added that Donald Trump and his supporters are “fascists,” whose views don’t deserve to have a public platform or to be able to express their views on their own social media feeds.

Maher doesn’t just hate Trump supporters: She hates their lifestyle so much she wants to deny their freedom of mobility.
“I hate private cars in cities,” said Maher in 2020, because the freedom to drive yourself wherever you want doesn’t advance “transit justice and climate love.”
Maher predicted, some day, “Driving will be the new smoking. Our children will be all smh [shake my head].”
It's about transit justice. It's about climate love. We need humble hunks of rolling metal throughout America. Blasting NPR, addressing inequities. Next stop: liberation station. https://t.co/Qm9qAHlK39

Even though she makes an elite salary, she parrots the language of Communist street organizers, screaming about “the ravages of late-stage capialism” (because she could never survive in the free market).
Maher’s free to say outrageous things because, she says, truth is “a distraction” from “getting things done.” In 2022 TED Talk, she said she didn’t believe in truth—and that Wikipedia, where she was CEO, wouldn’t bother pursuing it anymore.
Everyone familiar with her background says she has no business getting one thin dime from taxpayers.
“This NPR woman is dangerous,” said journalist Trish Regan.
“She should be fired immediately,” said X owner Elon Musk.
But it isn’t just Maher’s deep-seated animosity against conservatives: NPR’s bias is systemic, espousing bone-deep liberal bias for decades,
One former employee found that every single member of its Washington, D.C., editorial board is a registered Democrat. “An all democrat editorial board at NPR? Who would have guessed?” asked Real America’s Voice, a MAGA-themed network aligned with President Trump.
The reporters frame NPR’s “news” stories around their bias.
NPR ran a story claiming that the names of birds are actually a form of racism. Another said white people’s use of a thumbs-up emoji that is yellow instead of flesh-colored “signals a lack of awareness about white privilege” and equates “whiteness with being raceless.”
Liberal bias also impacts stories public radio won’t cover. “NPR was the only outlet I recall that was proud and open about its decision to do a blackout on Hunter Biden influence-peddling before the 2020 elections.” said Washington Examiner columnist Tim Carney.
No one, not even God Himself, is spared NPR’s hackneyed hatred.
The Catholic League sent The Horn an email highlighting some of National Public Radio’s most disgustingly anti-Catholic stories, going back 18 years:
- 2007: When Samuel Alito was nominated to the high court, NPR’s Dahlia Lithwick said, “People are very, very much talking about the fact that Alito would be the fifth Catholic in the Supreme Court if confirmed.”
- 2008: Utah’s NPR station, KCPW, featured a skit, “Fair Game with Faith Salie,” that mocked Jesus and the Eucharist
- 2013: A movie, “Paradise: Faith,” depicted a “devout” Catholic woman who masturbates with a crucifix as she is making love to Jesus. It was highly recommended by NPR.
- 2014: An NPR game show, “Wait Wait Don’t Tell Me!”, made fun of Jesus dying on the Cross. Sexual references to Jesus were also made.
Liberal NPR “reporters” hate people of faith—but they seem to hate anyone or anything that isn’t part of their Woke experience.
In 2023, NPR ran a story trying to explain “How racism became a marketing tool for country music.” That’s a weird way to describe an industry that has gone out of its way to embrace acts like Darius Rucker, “country” rapper Cowboy Troy, and which saw Beyonce win a Grammy for her “country” album.
Maybe NPR is upset that infinitely more people listen to country music than “All Things Considered” or “Morning Edition.” But country radio doesn’t get a dime of taxpayer funding—and neither should NPR.
Americans have been forced to fund propaganda organizations that hate them for too long. From ending USAID, to defunding NPR, to abolishing a federal agency that caters to teachers unions, the Trump administration is putting America First.
You’ve always deserved respect, capable government, and the wise use of your tax dollars.
It’s about time you got it.
