House Speaker Nancy Pelosi , D-Calif. quietly tried to delete a video from social media that shows her downplaying the Wuhan virus pandemic.
The footage also shows Pelosi condemning President Donald Trump’s early actions to close down travel to China.
But Trump’s team found the footage and put it back up on social media.
“It seems Nervous Nancy Pelosi has deleted the video of herself in Chinatown on February 24 saying that fears of the coronavirus were ‘unwarranted in light of the precautions that are being taken here in the United States.’ She doesn’t want Americans to see what she said then!” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said.
It’s unclear when exactly Pelosi tried to quietly scrub the video from the internet, but once the president himself reposted the video it quickly spread across social media.
“Crazy Nancy Pelosi deleted this from her Twitter account,” Trump tweeted Thursdsay. “She wanted everyone to pack into Chinatown long after I closed the BORDER TO CHINA. Based on her statement, she is responsible for many deaths. She’s an incompetent, third-rate politician!”

Trump’s campaign has been increasingly critical of Pelosi’s mismanagement and criticism at the beginning of the crisis.
The White House official Twitter account posted three additional instances of Pelosi downplaying the coronavirus pandemic while Trump took drastic action.
