House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi has spent her entire career lecturing Americans on diversity and racism — but all that goes straight in the dumpster when it threatens her political ambitions.
It’s not “America First” with Pelosi — it’s “Me first.”
Insiders say Pelosi is getting ready to stab her oldest Democratic allies in the back — all in a desperate bid to remain in power.
As far as evil Pelosi plots go, this just might take the cake.
As Politico first reported, Pelosi is “warming” to the idea of placing term limits on committee chairmanships — and the proposed move has the Congressional Black Caucus (CBC) furious.
“Democrats are expected to confront the issue next week when they huddle to vote on a package of rules for the new Congress,” Politico reported. “The idea to place limits on committee leaders’ tenure has faced stiff opposition from minority members, particularly the CBC. Because of the sensitivity of the topic, it’s one Pelosi has often avoided publicly taking a position on in recent years.”
The idea of Pelosi supporting term limits… in any fashion… is the very definition of hypocrisy.
She’s a career politician who has been in Congress for nearly 32 years. And her desire for “new blood” in the party apparently doesn’t extend to the House Speaker role, which she is desperately trying to reclaim.
So why is Pelosi getting ready to betray her long-time friends in the CBC?
Recently elected, younger members of Congress are reportedly pushing the term limits plan, so they can quickly rocket themselves up the party leadership ladder.
And Pelosi knows that she needs the support of these younger members to win the Speaker position in January. Many of these newer members of Congress have publicly opposed Pelosi, and she sees term limits as a way to win them over and get their votes.
Wrap your mind around that for a minute…
Pelosi is going to force experienced fellow party members from power so that she personally is not forced from power. Pelosi is going to do it at the expense of black Congressional Democrats, despite always lecturing other Americans about diversity and inclusion.
It’s the kind of hypocritical, “me first” move that Pelosi has spent decades making — and that, by now, Democrats should see coming a mile away.
For her entire career, Pelosi’s mantra has been simple: “Rules for thee, but not for me.”
Somehow, Democratic voters just keep coming back for more.
