Nancy Pelosi jumps into 2020 election

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., entered the 2020 presidential election with an endorsement of presumptive Democratic nominee Joe Biden — without mentioning the escalating sexual assault campaign hounding his campaign.

“I’m proud to endorse Joe Biden for president of the United States because he will be an extraordinary president,” Pelosi said in a video endorsement released Monday. “He knows how to get the job done.”

Biden was accused of sexual assault by a former aide, Tara Reade, in April. Biden’s campaign has vigorously denied the claim.

The mainstream media and Democratic lawmakers have largely ignored the allegations. Pelosi’s endorsement never once mentioned the alleged incident.

.@JoeBiden has fought for our health care, for our families & for our children’s future.

To his work, Joe brings values & integrity. He is a voice of reason & resilience who will fight #ForThePeople. Today, I am proud to endorse him for President of the United States. -NP pic.twitter.com/Qdc9vTgWHP

And during a Sunday night interview with CNN’s Jake Tapper, Pelosi was never once asked about the allegation.

Critics have pointed out a huge disparity in the reaction from the mainstream media and Democrats to Reade’s allegations versus those made by Christine Blasely Ford against Justice Brett Kavanaugh.

A non-conservative friend (works in media) DM’d me about media/Dem (virtually one in the same IMO) handling of accusations against Kavanaugh vs Biden.

Instead, the reporters have focused a huge amount of time and energy on President Donald Trump’s coronavirus briefings, which have included testy exchanges and attacks on the president.

Trump was angry after a day of punishing headlines Friday, largely about his idle musings about disinfectant’s role in the fight against coronavirus.

Trump’s comments, which he said were sarcastic, became of the news cycle over the weekend by Democrats and their media allies.

Frustrated by the media’s role in the briefings, Trump has indicated that he may step back from the daily coronavirus updates to let his experts — often less heavily criticized  — get the White House messages to the American people with less media spin.

Trump took to social media Monday morning to share his displeasure with the media —

There has never been, in the history of our Country, a more vicious or hostile Lamestream Media than there is right now, even in the midst of a National Emergency, the Invisible Enemy!
