House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. had a slip-up on Sunday — and it could ruin Democrats’ impeachment efforts against President Donald Trump.
That’s according to Paul Sperry, a best selling author and a fellow at Hoover Institution media.
Sperry said Pelosi’s appearance on CBS News’ 60 Minutes on Sunday gave away a key piece of information.
Pelosi told CBS News she knew all the details of the classified Ukraine call last week before the White House released the unclassified transcript.
Which means she would have been involved in talks with the whistleblower before they made their public statement.
Rep. Liz Cheney, R-W.Y., also came forward to ask questions about Pelosi’s controversial appearance. Cheney said it was “starting to seem like a political set up.”
Cheney asked Pelosi on social media, “What did you know, and when did you know it?

“Early last week, details of the president’s phone call filtered out to the press,” the 60 Minutes segment on Pelosi said. “As some in the capital called for impeachment, Mr. Trump phoned Speaker Pelosi to reassure her about the call [with the Ukrainian president].”
“He told you about the phone call?” CBS News’ Scott Pelley asked Pelosi.
“He told me it was perfect, that there was nothing in the call,” Pelosi responded.
That’s when Pelosi let the big lie slip — she’d already gotten information.
“But I know what was in the call,” Pelosi let slip, before trying to backtrack. “It was, uh, it was in the public domain.”
It wasn’t.
The transcript wasn’t released until later that week.
If Pelosi and Democrats were working with the whistleblower, it would undermine their entire impeachment inquiry.
DEVELOPING: Speaker Pelosi may have blown Democrats' chances of successfully prosecuting President Trump with a statement she made during her interview with CBS' "60 Minutes" last night
