Former Texas Beauty Queen and actress Margaret Ann Garza was found unresponsive in her home Tuesday — and the tragedy has left investigators baffled.
Police are investigating Garza’s mysterious death, and have announced they’re determined to solve it.
Officers were called to the 31-year-old Garza’s home at 6:31 a.m. in Round Rock, Texas about a woman not breathing, a spokeswoman for the Round Rock Police Department told the Austin Statesman.
The firefighters and medics were already on the scene upon police arrival, where Garza was pronounced dead from unknown causes.
“She gained her love of nature, riding horses, shooting guns, and all things cowboy from her #1 Cowboy, her Daddy,” her obituary said.
“And from her mama, it was having pride in a nice clean home, her love of cooking, and her respect for others,”
Garza was crowned Miss Texas Belleza Latina in 2007 and Miss Belleza Latina International in 2008.
She was an accomplished actress as well.
Garza appeared on the AMC show “The Son,” the films “Mercury Plains,” and “Pizza Joint,” which is set to be released this month.
As for the nature of her death, no information is available. Authorities have only said an autopsy is pending.
