Wednesday night, a major moment offered patriots an opportunity to celebrate the country in a spirited display that has everyone talking.
And it likely made liberals very mad.
Just before the NHL’s New York Islanders took on the Boston Bruins, the home fans in Long Island, New York proved that patriotism is still very much in style.
Nicole Raviv was set to sing the Star-Spangled Banner
But in a stunning display, it was the fans that quickly took over.
The crowd of 12,000 started as backup singers and midway through the anthem, carried the song to the raucous end alongside Raviv.
The Nassau Coliseum, nicknamed “The Barn,” was absolutely rocking.
New York Rep. Lee Zeldin, R-N.Y., took note of the Wednesday night performance, retweeting the rendition that you can watch below:

Following the performance, Raviv wrote, “My heart is full. The coliseum will forever have the best backup singers in the #NHL.”

The stunning, emotional display was a reminder that Americans still love this country.
And we won’t ever forget it.
