Presidential adviser Kellyanne Conway is never soft on her critics. But she just completely destroyed Chris Cuomo for his lack of empathy.
Cuomo tried to politicize the catastrophic damage in Houston, Texas following Hurricane Harvey Wednesday night on CNN, and Conway wasn’t having it.
The two spent 20 minutes going back and forth during a conversation about Hurricane Harvey, where Cuomo eventually attempted to make it a political issue, asking Conway if she thought climate change had a role in the storm.

He said, “One of these themes that’s coming out of this, and it’s not a discussion just to have now, but certainty in the weeks and months as we move forward, is whether or not what happened in Harvey and why it’s happening and why these storms happen open up a discussion about the role of climate change. Is the president, is the administration, open to that conversation.”
Conway was clearly disgusted at his lack of empathy for the people in Texas who have lost everything to this storm, and gave Cuomo a long eye-roll accompanied by a look of disgust.
She replied, “Chris, we’re trying to help the people whose lives are literally underwater, and you want to have a conversation about climate change? I mean, that is – I’m not going to engage in that right now.”
But he didn’t let up.
Cuomo responded that he assumed her lack of response meant no. To which she harshly quipped back, “No, I didn’t say that, Chris, you don’t need to put words in my mouth.”
While he continued to push his climate change angle, and asked Conway why she did she “berate” him.
She revealed her true character, and partially Cuomo’s when she revealed her goal in Texas.
“I’m going to focus on them for the short-term, perhaps the long-term, because I literally see people, I see pregnant women, including on your channel, who are in need, who say they’re shivering or their kids are hungry.”
