According to a new report, Special counsel Robert Mueller has been investigating a $150,000 donation President Donald Trump’s charity received in 2015 from a Ukranian businessman.
Ironically, this same businessman has given tens of millions of dollars to former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton.
The donation that Trump’s charity received came after “then-candidate Donald Trump gave a 20-minute speech at a European conference that promoted closer ties between Ukraine and the West,” the Business Insider reported.
In August of 2015, Trump was one of several Republican candidates vying for the 2016 presidential nomination and he was contacted by Doug Schoen who was a political consultant for Ukrainian billionaire and steel magnate Victor Pinchuk, to set up the speech.
Reportedly Trump accepted the personal invitation, but did not personally bring up the subject of payment, however his personal lawyer Michael Cohen did call Schoen to ask for the $150,000 fee from Pinchuk for the talk.
While the Mueller investigation has spent months on a witch hunt to find something to charge Trump with, there have been many reports surfacing that could instead get the Clintons locked up.
In 2016, The New York Times reported that Pinchuk “directed between $10 million and $25 million to the [Clinton] foundation,” and that he also “lent his private plane to the Clintons and traveled to Los Angeles in 2011 to attend Mr. Clinton’s star-studded 65th birthday celebration.”
The Times article also notes that Schoen, who was also a former political consultant for Bill Clinton, arranged a dozen meetings between Hillary’s State Deapartment with Pinchuk between September 2011 and November 2012.
A January 2017 report by Politico alleged that, “Ukrainian government officials tried to help Hillary Clinton and undermine Trump by publicly questioning his fitness for office” by “helping to force [Paul] Manafort’s resignation and advancing the narrative that Trump’s campaign was deeply connected to Ukraine’s foe to the east, Russia.”
As noted in a January 2017 article by The Observer,”it was in Ukraine’s best interest to tilt the election in support of Clinton, who strongly advocated for providing Ukraine with military aid and financial support in order to fight Russian separatists in the country.”
Last July, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley sent a letter to Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein demanding answers regarding the collusion between the Democratic National Committee, the Clinton Campaign, and the Ukrainian government.

The Observer also reported that Pinchuk funded “the Washington-based think tank Atlantic Council, which is an openly anti-Russian organization party.”
Dmitri Alperovitch serves on the Atlantic Council, and not surprisinly he is also the founder and CTO of Crowdstrike. Crowdstrike was hired by the DNC to investigate alleged hacks into their servers.
“The DNC denied multiple requests from the FBI to access their servers, effectively forcing the FBI to rely on CrowdStrike’s assessment of the hacks,” The Observers adds.
