Special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian election meddling has been stretched along for over a year — and there’s no end in sight.
On Thursday, President Donald Trump said the probe has spun completely out-of-control.
Trump accused the team under Mueller of going “absolutely nuts” and said the probe has devolved into a screaming fit meltdown.
The inner workings of the Mueller investigation are a total mess. They have found no collusion and have gone absolutely nuts. They are screaming and shouting at people, horribly threatening them to come up with the answers they want. They are a disgrace to our Nation and don’t…

….care how many lives the ruin. These are Angry People, including the highly conflicted Bob Mueller, who worked for Obama for 8 years. They won’t even look at all of the bad acts and crimes on the other side. A TOTAL WITCH HUNT LIKE NO OTHER IN AMERICAN HISTORY!

Despite repeated calls to end the probe and present any findings by Trump and other conservatives, acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker has told Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham in a meeting that Mueller’s investigation is going to continue.
That’s according to The Associated Press, who cited a person familiar with the meeting.
The meeting with Graham and Whitaker Thursday comes as a group of Democrat-led senators is pushing legislation to protect Mueller’s job. The senators are concerned about Whitaker’s past criticism of the Mueller probe. Trump appointed Whitaker acting attorney general last week.
Whitaker told Graham the investigation would be allowed to proceed.
Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer and other Democrats have called for Whitaker to recuse himself from overseeing the Mueller investigation.
A Justice Department spokeswoman said earlier this week that Whitaker will follow Justice Department protocols and consult with senior ethics officials “on his oversight responsibilities and matters that may warrant recusal.”
On Wednesday, Republican Sen. Jeff Flake, a frequent Trump critics, said he would not vote to confirm any judicial nominees unless GOP leaders hold a vote on the Mueller protection legislation.
Whitaker is now overseeing the Mueller probe, which had previously been overseen by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein.
Rosenstein told Congress that he saw no reason to fire Mueller, despite the controversies.
Recently ousted Attorney General Jeff Sessions had recused himself from overseeing Mueller because he had worked on Trump’s Republican campaign. Sessions has since resigned at the president’s request.
Trump has repeatedly criticized Mueller and called the investigation a hoax.
