It’s no secret that Democrats want President Donald Trump impeached — but many will find it surprising just how far one Democrat is willing to go in order to make it happen.
They’re spreading false conspiracy theories through the mainstream media… and they’re not even trying to hide it.
[Sponsored] How to restore your memory in 1 hourAfter former Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s testimony before Congress blew up in the Democrats’ faces, House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerry Nadler, D-N.Y., concocted a total lie in a desperate attempt to push impeachment.
Last Friday, Nadler held a press conference and falsely claimed that Mueller would have charged Trump with a crime had there not been an Office of Legal Counsel (OLC) precedent.
The longstanding OLC precedent states that a sitting president cannot be indicted.
“He told us in a remarkable exchange with Mr. Lieu that but for the Department of Justice policy prohibiting [him] from doing so, he would have indicted President Trump,” Nadler said.
Nadler added: “Indeed it is clear that any other citizen of this country who has behaved as this president has would have been charged with multiple crimes.”
Nadler flat-out lied — and not a single media reporter called him out.

Wednesday – just two days before Nadler’s false statement – Mueller testified before two House committees about his Russia investigation and final report on the two-year-long witch hunt into the still-unproven allegations that Trump’s campaign colluded with Russia during the 2016 election.
During one exchange, Mueller was asked by Rep. Ted Lie, D-Calif., if the OLC precedent was the only reason he did not charge Trump for obstructing justice.
“The reason again that you did not indict Donald Trump is because of the OLC opinion stating that you cannot indict a sitting President, correct?” Lieu asked.
“That is correct,” Mueller answered.
But he misspoke. After his first hearing, Mueller took part in a second hearing before the House Intelligence Committee.
In his opening statement, Mueller stated that he misspoke during his exchange with Lieu and wanted to “correct the record.”

“I want to add one correction to my testimony this morning. I want to go back to one thing that was said this morning by Mr. Lieu who said ‘You didn’t charge the president because of the OLC opinion.’ That is not the correct way to say it. As we say in the report, and as I said at the opening, we did not reach a determination as to whether the president committed a crime,” Mueller said.
In other words, Mueller made it clear that the OLC precedent had no bearing on his team determining whether to charge the president with any crimes. They chose not to charge Trump because there is insufficient evidence.
Two days after Mueller made that bombshell statement, Nadler held a press conference and lied to the public about why the president was not charged in the Russia probe.
As Mueller has admitted, begrudgingly at times, Trump was never charged because there was never any evidence to prove that he committed a crime.
Nadler knew this and still attempted to mislead the American people.
Critics say he is so desperate to impeach the president, he’s not letting little things like “facts” and “truth” get in the way.

Nadler’s plan, it appears, is to convince voters that Mueller couldn’t impeach Trump, but the self-righteous Democrats can.
And he thinks Americans aren’t smart enough to see through his conspiracy theory.
