MSNBC’s Rachel Maddow has notably shied away from the spotlight ever since the Russiagate conspiracy she pushed ended in a nothingburger.
But she has recently returned to the headlines with some very strange comments.

She still sees unmasked people as a threat.
Maddow is making the claim on the heels of Centers for Disease Control’s recent recommendation that vaccinated Americans no longer have to wear masks under most circumstances.
Now, for most, this getting back to normal is a sigh of relief for citizens under lock and key for more than a year…
But Maddow says she’s going to have to rewire herself in order to feel safe.
“I feel like I’m going to have to rewire myself so that when I see someone out in the world who’s not wearing a mask, I don’t instantly think, ‘You are a threat,’” Maddow said.

“Or you are selfish or you are a Covid denier and you definitely haven’t been vaccinated. I mean, we’re going to have to rewire the way that we look at each other.”
It seems that she’s having a difficult time believing it’s OK not to wear a mask.
Earlier in the same show she grilled CDC Director Rochelle Walensky on the updated mask policy.
“Forgive me for speaking in personal terms,” she said, “and I don’t mean to be too blunt about this, but how sure are you? Because this feels like a really big change.”
“We’re sure,” Walensky said then. “There’s an extraordinary amount of evidence now that demonstrates the vaccines are working in the real world.”

Yet and still, it doesn’t seem as though Maddow is very trusting of the new guidelines.

She warned Americans to give each other time to process people’s feelings on their decision whether or not to wear a mask.

So if Maddow happens to see you around without a mask on, she may consider you a threat.
