MSNBC host Rachel Maddow loves to tell the world how smart she is.
She has degrees from Stanford and Oxford… and makes long speeches practically every night slamming President Donald Trump.
The only problem?
Maddow and MSNBC haven’t been smart enough to figure out how to get anyone to watch.
Now, Maddow is in the middle of a ratings free-fall that could spell HUGE trouble for her career.

Maddow’s numbers for August are a train-wreck. She averaged 2.3 million viewers a night and, most troubling, only 361,000 in the coveted 25-54 age demographic.
That 361,000 is less than the population of Bakersfield, CA for a nationally-broadcast show.
Not good… and not the kind of show advertisers will get excited about.
Even worse for Maddow, she can’t seem to beat anything that Fox News airs.
Her show finished a disappointing fifth in the cable news ratings, behind “Hannity,” “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” “The Ingraham Angle,” and “The Five.”

It’s the second straight month where Fox News captured the top four slots — and where Maddow failed to crack the top three.
Most real Americans know that Maddow is a partisan hack who has no interest in telling both sides of any story.
Now, her show and career are both sinking fast — and she could bring all of MSNBC down with her.
