Republican National Committee leader Ronna McDaniel said there are big changes coming to the Republican Party in a few years — and it’s bad news for cable news giants like MSNBC and CNN.
The RNC will no longer use liberal-leaning mainstream media cable news giants to host Republican presidential primary debates, McDaniel said Tuesday.

Appearing on Sean Spicer’s “Spicer & Co” on Newsmax, McDaniel promised that the RNC is done playing nice with the liberal media.
“Is the RNC willing to set up a similar system and ensure that these mainstream media outlets that have gone against this president, that have made it very clear that they are mouthpieces for the DNC or the Biden administration, will not host an RNC-sanctioned debate?” Spicer asked.
For years, conservatives have accused MSNBC, CNN, and other mainstream media outlets of openly supporting the Democratic Party.
“Absolutely! You know, Sean, it’s funny that you say that because we just formed a debate committee to start working with this process, which you did in 2016, heading into that election process,” McDaniels replied.
“And it’s twofold: one is the primary situation and who’s going to get sanctioned debates from the RNC, but the second is the Commission on Presidential Debates that absolutely put their thumb on the scale heading into the general,” she said. “And they don’t negotiate with the RNC; they work with the candidate directly.”
“But for them to take the second debate virtual, which absolutely hurt voters, to have the first debate after 16 states had started voting, was just egregious,” McDaniels said.
“And there was bias on that committee. It’s supposed to be nonpartisan.”

Will the Republican National Committee finally stand-up against biased media organizations like CNN and MSNBC?
Or will they go crawling back to the media during the 2024 Republican presidential primaries?
