Vice President Mike Pence appeared at Conservative Action Political Conference (CPAC) 2019 on Friday — and he had a message about the U.S.-Mexico border wall.
Pence said that wall construction has already started — and that it will be completely built by the time President Donald Trump and him leave the White House.

“It’s the greatest honor of my life to serve as vice president, to work under a president that wakes up every day to fight for the American people,” Pence told the crowd, naming a number of huge successes the Trump administration has had since taking office in 2017.
Tax cuts. Booming economy. Better trade deals. Record low unemployment. An American oil boom. The elimination of the Obamacare individual mandate.
“That’s promises made. Promises kept,” Pence said.
But what about the biggest promise the Trump administration made during the 2016 presidential election?

“President Trump has no higher priority than the safety of the American people,” Pence told the crowd in his speech.
“Last year, President Trump signed the largest investment in our national defense since the days of Ronald Reagan,” he continued.
“By the end of the year, President Trump will launch the 6th branch of our armed forces: The United States Space Force. Under this president, the United States will be as dominate in space as they are on the land, air and sea,” the vice president promised.
Security doesn’t stop there, Pence said.

“We’re giving all those that stand on the thin blue line the resources – and the respect—they deserve every single day,” Pence told CPAC. “And that includes the men and women of border protection. Under this president and this administration, we will never abolish ICE.”
“And we’ve already started to build that wall,” Pence told the cheering crowd.
“I’ll make you a promise: Before we’re done, we’re going to build it all.”
