Michelle Obama just announced her plans for the 2020 Democratic presidential race and it rocked the political landscape.
It may also prove that the Obamas believe Donald Trump is unbeatable next year.
She says there’s “zero” chance she’ll run for president… but it’s not because Democrats aren’t crying for her to throw her hat in the ring.

But Michelle says there’s no way she’s doing it this year.
The 2020 election came up when Michelle Obama sat down with the official magazine of Amtrak for an interview with a 12-year-old child reporter.
“Just between us, if you thought the country needed you and you thought you could really help our nation, is there even a one percent chance you’d consider running?” the child asked.
The ex-first lady said, “Just between us, and the readers of this magazine—there’s zero chance.”

She went on to say that she “never” sees herself “sitting behind the desk in the Oval Office… It’s just not for me.”
That probably has the Democrats’ overstuffed presidential field breathing a sigh of relief. There’s no doubt that, if she wanted the nomination, she could walk away with it.
Michelle Obama would start out by at least tying Joe Biden as the frontrunner in the race, according to a Hill-HarrisX poll.
Prominent left-wingers have almost begged Michelle Obama to take a stab at winning back the White House next November.
Filmmaker Michael Moore recently said there’s only one candidate who would “crush” Trump has the last name that “rhymes with Obama. In fact, it is Obama — Michelle Obama.”

The Michelle momentum is nothing new. The party’s base have pushed her toward a presidential bid since before she finished packing up her things in the East Wing.
Some of her supporters even mocked up homemade posters for a “Michelle 2020” run in 2016.

The buzz of a second Obama candidacy got so heated that Barack Obama had to tamp it down four years ago.
“Let me tell you, there are three things that are certain in life,” Obama said in 2016. “Death, taxes, and Michelle is not running for president. That, I can tell you.”

Michelle has said she’s not running for a long time…but insiders say it looks like she’s keeping her options open.
She absolutely refused to endorse any of the 25 candidates in the race.
“Barack and I are gonna support whoever wins the primary,” she said.
Michelle said the power couple won’t make a move until “the primary process play out.”
That could mean Michelle Obama is going to jump into the 2020 presidential race after the primaries like Rush Limbaugh said she would.

“Don’t be surprised if she gets in the Democrat presidential primary race after the primaries,” Rush said late last month.
Rush said the Obamas believe, “the primaries—that’s beneath us.”
Instead, Rush said, they would hope no one candidate out of the two dozen hopefuls wins enough delegates to seal the presidential nomination.
Then both Obamas will offer up Michelle at the Democratic National Convention in Milwaukee as the party’s savior.
So, why is she ruling out that possibility now??
People familiar with the first couple say Michelle Obama hates campaigning. She never wants to run for office—and she even resented how much time her husband spent on the campaign trail while she raised their two girls alone.

But Barack Obama is another story.
The ex-president is desperate to get back into the Oval Office, even if it’s through his wife—and she’d run if he wanted her to.
So, why isn’t Michelle in the 2020 race?
Is it because Obama won’t run if she knows she’ll lose?
Polls show President Donald Trump earned more support with traditional Democrats than any Republican since Ronald Reagan.

Even the former Democratic leader of the U.S. Senate, Harry Reid, said he likes Trump.
And one poll showed that 36% of black voters would consider voting for Donald Trump in 2020…talk about humiliating for the Obamas!
Could it be Michelle Obama is reading the tea leaves and, at least right now, thinks Donald Trump will wipe the floor with the Democratic presidential candidate next year?
