When President Donald Trump commuted his ally Roger Stone’s prison sentence, the mainstream media and American liberals reacted with fury.
A criminal, they called Stone.
But let’s not forget, former President Barack Obama once commuted the sentence of a savage terrorist and hardly anyone said a word.
And it has prominent California Republican Harmeet Dhillon asking where all the outrage was then.
“The same people clutching their pearls and shrieking about Stone’s commutation, I didn’t hear them complaining when Oscar Rivera was pardoned by President Obama,” Dhillon told “Fox & Friends.”
“[Rivera] was even too much of a terrorist for Clinton to pardon.”
The infamous Oscar Lopez Rivera is said to have been the leader of a hyper-nationalist Puerto Rican terror group, which was responsible for bombings of government buildings in major U.S. cities such as New York, Washington, D.C., and Chicago throughout the 70s and 80s.
Obama granted him clemency and sprung him from prison.
A Chicago Tribune perspective from 2017 reads, “What was Obama thinking, however, when he ordered the release of Oscar Lopez Rivera?”
Rivera’s alleged terror cell “claimed responsibility for more than 120 bombings between 1974 and 1983 in a wave of senseless destruction that killed six and injured dozens.”
Upon his conviction, the law threw the entire book at him.
Tribune reports he was charged for “seditious conspiracy, armed robbery, interstate transportation of firearms and conspiracy to transport explosives with intent to destroy government property.”
So, it’s safe to say Rivera was a bonafide criminal.
In fact, in 1999, former president Bill Clinton tried to grant clemency to Rivera — but the criminal refused — because his partner wouldn’t be freed as part of the clemency package.

Stone’s arrest has long been criticized as a stunt to pad former special counsel Robert Mueller’s witch hunt so it’d seem like he got results from the nothing-burger that it was …
And most importantly, the accusations against Stone pale in comparison to the crimes Rivera committed. Yet the mainstream media and other liberal talking heads continue to sound off on the idea that Trump is thwarting justice by commuting Stone’s sentence.
Yeah, right.
The same mainstream media and talking heads who stayed completely silent when Obama gave a pass to a terrorist who targeted innocent American lives.
